I believe you will probably have some luck with a.confusa, especially if these guys are providing you with 'ACRB' :d
SWIM thinks the root bark thing is just a "tradition" from MHRB extractors. stem bark of this acacia is pretty active, but swim has no means to know exactly what % is DMT or NMT. it is active (smoked) in a very similar quantity as MHRB (white).
using stem bark and Q21's little tek used on MHRB using lime, vinegar,naptha and freeze percip it is very easy. 0.5-1.6% yields from swim of pure white crystal from the freeze, but again not sure what ratio, if nay, are D/N MT
good extractors should really try this out, and not be too stuborn abotu only getting root bark, Acacia isnt Mimosa. Once some more experienced members try it out, we can really know whats going on. Stem bark (and root bark for sure) is very active, though swim has not yet tried it in raw form in ayahuasca, only freebase.

So the stem bark is also active? Thats definately a lot less work than diggin up all those roots, its hard work, although i enjoy it very much; kinda like zelda when you cut down the bush and get a rupee, except this rupee is made of dmt lol! Anyway ill have to give this a try, ill collect some root bark and stem bark from the same tree, do an extraction on an equal amount of both and weigh the final product and compare the two. Oooh i cant wait to try out my new $30 pick axe tomorrow, this is gona be so much fun! :d

I'm not sure a freeze is necessary...it is usually done on wet stuffs, like grasses.
Never heard of it with bark material.
Just got in a few 100g of acacia...will be extracting this weekend, maybe next using my standard A/B no defat.

FYI, out of bordom I decided to chew on some bark.
Not as bad as MHRB by any stretch, but my breath smells like spice AND i have a noticible head change.
This stuff is wicked weird and potent (at least orally/cheeked)

a few grams...tops. Not horrible, but not all that plesant to chew...The head change was subtle, but far from placebo.

That's interesting, acolon. Active without MAOI. Could you have been feeling the NMT by any chance?
Also, did you do an A/B extraction on the material yet? I was going to get some bark last week but didn't get round to ordering yet.

I will say that my 3T brew has slight visuals that were almost surely the result of DMT.
Small doses are euphoric and tingly.
All of this is 100% subjective and speculative.
No A/B yet. It takes a lot to grind this stuff up. Hopefully this week sometime.

So i brought 50g of acacia confusa, 30g went into trying to achieve success thruogh doing a STB, the results were well poor! all i got was a oily gooey type of base in my glass dish after the freeze precip (no point in scraping up)
My friend then mentioned doing a defat before i add the lye and then carrying on the routine, this method did have some results, but i am still dubious of the situation ?
from doing a STB with 20g of acacia and doing a defat before adding the lye and doing my wash, i got 0.06g of chunky bity xtals (Through my labrat has stil not tested any so cant say it was a complete success :?:
Has anyone has success with acacia and had decent breakthrough yet ? thats what i want to hear lol

i just bought some a. confusia and had a similar problem as vibrancy, with only an oily residue being left behind. was just wonderin if there are any more positive reports on teks for a. confusia?
I have 4 vials of crystals. totalling 500mg nice clean white and 200mg white crystal/light amber substance mix from A/B & A/B/A/B extractions on 250g lower stem bark. I am quite happy with that. I could have put some more time into the extraction but life has been busy.vibrancy3 said:

I have noticed something in my time working with A. Confusa regarding whatever that oily substance is – the oily substance seems to fall out of naphtha almost as easily as it goes in. A fair amount will drop out if you leave pulls at room temp for a while, then you can decant for a purer product.
I have yet to bioassay the product of that extraction. Unfortunately I have bad throat and lungs so it’ll be a while more before I get round to it!
a dude on the bus told me he yielded .5 % from cheap trunk bark. He also believed he could have boiled the bark a little more and yielded more. The nmt or whatever alkaloids are left add a wonderful character to the experience also. Acacia trunk bark is veeeery nice, but find a source that's cheap. It should be about half the price of root bark in his experience. Root bark possibly yields a fair bit more if its quality but in his experience he says it's not really worth the price. He wants to try a side by side extraction. One with trunk bark, one with root from the same farm to see what the difference in yields is
I even saw a thread where people claimed even 2 pushing 3 % from TRUNK bark which is crazy although they said different sources varied a lot, they must have had some gooood trees though.
