ReX in naptha

Swim decided to evap his 2nd pull to try to get bigger xtals. This worked well but they were very waxy and yellow with very dirty bits where a tiny drop of the 'soup' got into the pull. Should swim redissolve them in naptha and do a freeze precip? Swim doesnt have any other chemicals at hand only naptha. This method seems to have been a bit of a waste, swim thinks he will stick to freeze precip from now on.

One other thing, when swim takes the mason jar out of the freezer he stirs it with a spoon to get some of the xtals stuck to the sides into the solvent, but hes concerned that when doing this he is also dissolving some of the xtals. Is swim just being paranoid or is there any way to prevent this?

An evap of solvent after a pull will most of the time give a more yellow product. Freeze always gives me a whiter product.

Redissolve in a small amount of warm naptha, pull the naptha leaving behind any "soup" that was in there. Then freeze. I you want big xtals, collect the freeze precip and dissolve that in a small amount of naptha, and let that evap slowly.

I never scrape up my xtals in the jar filled with naptha, when I take it out of the freezer I quikly pour off the naptha through a coffee filter, catching any floating DMT, then once ive gotten out as much naptha as possible, I close up my jar again and leave to get to room temp, making sure that its closed properly so no condensation forms on the inside of the jar. Once it gets to room temp you can open it and let it dry for an hour or so, then scrape up the goodies. Another way you can collect he spice is to pour off the naptha without scraping up any of the xtals, then close again and pop it in the freezer upside down, so any naptha that was left in there will run down the jar, towards the lid and away from the spice.

You can also sit your mason jar upside down in the freezer so that the naptha drips off and the crystals stay stuck to the jar and then scrape out. Sit the jar upside down with tin foil tightly wrapped round the neck of the jar.
