Roebic 100 Grams Conversion

one needs 100 grams of sodium hydroxide. One does not have a scale, and was wondering how many milliliters/Oz's is equal to or about 100 grams?

approximately 90 ml... but you should really invest in a scale...

If you are going to do something it is worth doing it right. Digital scales accurate to 100mg can be bought for $5. If you don't have scales you'll just have to eyeball it. If you have 1lb you need about 1/4 of it for instance. For the additional of lye the exact number isn't to important but it is still good to have scales.

i'm saying that because it would be much simpler to buy a scale than to have to use the internet to contact me to go to my scale & weigh out 100 grams & tell you how many ml it equates to... that's a lot of trouble to have to go through...

I hear ya Leon. I just didn't want to pay 50 bucks for a possible one time use, a chemistry experiment that may or may not work out. But I did find a scale at Wal-Mart for 5 bucks! It is plastic, not digital though, and has a cup which securely fits on top which also has milliliters on it.
