Sorry,
I was bsify for the last time my rue extract, i did manske and basify for 3 times, so after dissolve salt in hot water i add a solution of sodium carbonate and distilled water....but all the precipitate, the white stuff go upside and not downside...so i don't know what going wrong...maybe too much basic ? what i can do ? wait more ?

So you are on the final basing step, correct? The harmalas crash out during this step but if too much sodium carb is added, you will have excess in the final product.

So yes, I would let your mix sit overnight at least.

Tomorrow, most of it should have settled, if not it isn't a big deal.

Filter through a coffee filter.

Keep solids.

Discard liquids (check pH of water first).

Now, to get rid of excess sodium carbonate you need to do a water wash or two. This means adding water to your freebase harmalas. Filter through coffee filter. Keep solids. Discard liquid (check pH of liquid). You want the pH to be around 8 before it is generally accepted as "pretty pure" ...

After that you should be all set. Hope that helps, xa! :)

It happened with me from before when i basified the still hot solution, sometimes it falls back by itself as big chunks and if it doesn't disturb it a little bit or stir it and they will fall

Thanks, i go with filter an decant more, after the night some whites are down and some up, i wait more and then decant/filter.
