Thanks Mel, I am almost done with the methadone now and cannot wait to be free from all opioids forever. I am down to 57 mg/day from 175 mg/day, so I'm getting there, but I still have a few more months until my taper is complete. I just wish I didn't have this neurological disorder to deal with, as klonipin is the only medication that really helps and it has been detrimental to my hyperspace experiences. Congrats on both your defeat of the addiction and your completion of your degree. Both are amazing achievements that you should be very proud of. I commend your strength and ambition. Opiates nearly killed me many times, but I have been clean now for two years(almost and besides methadone) and can honestly say that spice played a gigantic role in my recovery. We should chat via PM sometime, as it does seem we have a lot in common. I've become re-attached to this forum and will be looking forward to our next communication.

I suggest switching to Suboxone, once you get to 25-30 mg of methadone. Methadone is legendary for wreaking havok on the endocrine system. Chronic use of any opioid, including Suboxone (buprenorphine) will lower testosterone levels, but no where near as bad as methadone.

Also, never go on testosterone replacement if possible because once that feedback loop is severed, hormone replacement may have to be indefinite, but nutrition can repair most if not all broken things. The endocrine system is just very sensitive.

Switching to Suboxone will soften the fall, but should to be tapered down to .01 mg. Suboxone is a microgram drug prescribed in milligrams due to its blockade effect, so most people jump off at high doses and needlessely suffer horrible WD. Used correctly, it is a great tool to get off full agonist opioids like heroin, oxycodone, or methadone. Remember the body can heal itself from anything if you give it what it needs. Don't buy into western medicine. They just want to treat symptoms and take our money. Every MD should have a nutrition background.

I made the decision to abandon the medicinal route almost a year ago now and have been slowly tapering, but I was planning on softening my fall with suboxone when I get down below thirty mg/day already. Thanks for the advice. I am currently taking more herbs and vitamins than I can list here but mostly herbal remedies to calm WD's and to boost my cognitive function, as abandoning klonipin is not an option for me right now. I am basically handicapped without it. My neurological condition is something genetic that leaves me trembling throughout my whole upper body when I stop taking my klonipin, and its not k-pin WD because it started before I was on it and the k-pin was the only thing that brought the tremors under control. I hope to not be on it forever, but with either of the current diagnoses I will be dependent on it forever, which really brings me down. After taking a graduate course on how drugs are discovered and then thrown onto the market I gained an immense level of disrespect for the pharmaceutical industry and don't trust most medication, especially anti-depressants, which I have always refused to try no matter how insistent my doctors have been.

I am new to extractions, but I have been having pretty decent success with ACRB as it is easier for me to acquire than Mimosa.

Will these methods work on ACRB?

I used an A/B tek for my first and second extractions, and I have been getting the off white yellowish goo..... not that I am complaining because I absolutely love smoking the goo, and I seem to breakthrough once out of every 2-3 sessions, but as an ex-opiate addict myself, I am OCD, and tend to be and extremist/perfectionist as well, I want amazing white fluffy crystalline blissful shard nuggets of awesomeness. SO....

Will the salt addition aid my acacia adventures? Also would STB work as well or better for ACRB instead of A/B?

This thread has been very inspirational to me because this forum has changed my life. I just recently ended the my run on the dope after having a successful extraction, my first ever, and after having my first DMT breakthrough I was able to assassinate the rabid Macaque clinging to my back via venomous opiate injecting claws. It plummeted from hyperspace to the sour dirt of wherever monkey on the back hell is screaming like a banshee caught in a bear trap.

Thanks to this wonderful place and all of you wonderful people my life has improved immensely. I truly believe DMT has given me an evolutionary kick to the soul, which led to a very welcomed end to the spiritual bankruptcy I had been living in, resulting in a whole new perspective on the wonderful gift of humanity and life on this wonderful planet.

So, my questions are in earnest desire to not only improve my spice, but my life entirely. I very much would appreciate any replies from you aiding my journey in spice extracting. I am having a blast with the Acacia, so I'm hoping all of this salt business can aid me in my newly found passion.

The use of salt tends to help push that alkaloids out in the first few pulls but I think it's only effective in ATB extractions !

Stb extractions don't tend to be effective with acacia so you mightn't want to do the STB !!

Thanks for the the heads up on Cyb's Tek. I may try that, but i cannot lie, i do enjoy the goo quite a bit.... i seem to breakthrough more frequently, but that may be all in my head. not sure...

Another option that I failed to mention is carbonate, it will have a charge of -2 at extraction pH levels. This could be added along with the other salt you are using. You can even start with baking soda, though each molecule of bicarbonate will use one molecule of lye to gain that extra unit of charge so more lye may be needed.

So we should add baking soda into the mix with our lye?

NMT is less soluble in warm naphtha than DMT.
So here is what I do:
1: leave your crystals in the container you used for freeze precip, without scraping them up
2: let them dry thoroughly
3: take a small amount of warm naphtha, about 110 to 120 degrees Farenheit, say 20ml for every gram of your estimated yield, and swirl it over your crystals. What should happen is that the crystals (dmt) will dissolve, but the NMT will remain as an oily layer that adheres to the glass.
4 pour off the naphtha into a second container and freeze precip that.

This is not just a recrystallization. You want to differentially dissolve the dmt, which will dissolve quickly in the warm naphtha, but dissolve a minimum amount of NMT. It takes a little practice to judge how long to swirl it, if you are too quick to pour off the naphtha you will be leaving some spice behind, but if you swirl too long you will start to dissolve the NMT. So part of the trick here is taking advantage of the fact that DMT dissolves more rapidly than NMT in warm naphta.
