Thank you very much When, it gives hope although I've never seen a SD blossoming in my zone, an actual photographic evidence of seed propagation is very good news.
Actually technically although you may see young leaves, you don't see seedlings because if you don't get flowers, you won't get seeds, if you get flowers you won't get polinization, hence you don't get seedlings. Cotyledons from different species look very much alike, so it's nearly impossible to tell visually which specy is growing until first leaves appear.Nathanial.Dread said:Those are SD seedlings?
Uh-oh, I see those in my salvia pots all the time, and pull them out, thinking that they're some tag-along plant taking root. Mine have never flowered

Good progress, and it's good to see you got rid of all the other plants around them, as it's in the upcoming stage that their roots will really begin to spread. My one concern is that they're growing almost on top of each other and at this stage separating them would be very detrimental, and once the roots get intertwined you'd have to rip the plant in half to get them apart. I guess they'll have to be twins for lifeoh and that root above the soil isn't such a bad thing, they will run root just below/on the surface as breathers, you can a a little soil or mulch, but don't cover them to much, they'll just keep pumping them out further up the trunk.
Nice to see there's some green thumbs among the nexians
BongWizard said:Yeah, there's no real need to separate them, they'll happily grow side by side, they'll just get a bit of sibling rivalry going on, fighting for your love lol
