Sceletium Tortuosum Extraction--Results

Here is what I obtained from doing an a/b on some kanna....

It is currently as a fumerate salt...will freebase shortly. Does it look like mesembrine fumarate?

So how was the effect of that extract? smoked some kanna a few times, gave some mild stimulation and went nice with cb.

Okay so i freebased what i had, and it only yielded a tiny bit of product which was messy and had visible sodium carbonate impurities in it. Anyways i used gravity bong and smoked a little bit of the extracting. In about 10 sec this intense head feeling started to kick in, and everything felt stange. Can't really describe it. Anyways, I will not repeat this experiment due to the nature of the alkaloids. This is because in salt form, they are easy to manage but very hard to consume them due to the taste. In freebase form, its very messy and hard to pull without pulling sodium carbonate.

Has anyone besides the Lorax made a successful kanna extraction?

How is a high dose of kanna? is it like cocaine that an extract could give a better/stronger effect than chewing plain material or is it like caffeine that a higher dose just makes you feel shitty?

i plan to try to extraxt my own alks asap when i'll receive my 6 kanna plants i'll let them grow a bit and than i'll try to extraxt some alks for the research!! stay tuned! :thumb_up:
