Hi everyone, I’m an 18-year-old seeker from China. I’ve had about 10 experiences with Acacia confusa (ACRB) now, but I’m struggling with a complete lack of visuals. I’m hoping to get some insight from the community.
My Experience & Dosage:
Source & Extraction:I’ve sourced my bark from two different vendors, so I don't think it's a quality issue. I have successfully performed chemical extractions before, but the problem is Route of Administration (ROA). In China, it's very difficult to find proper smoking gear, and I find setting up complex e-mesh rigs too troublesome, which is why I've stuck to the capsule method.
My Questions:
My Experience & Dosage:
- Method: Oral intake via capsules (Pharmahuasca style), using Syrian Rue as my MAOI.
- Dosage: 8 sessions with 2g of ACRB powder, and 2 sessions with 0.6g of resin (roughly equivalent to 4g of bark).
- The Result: Every time, my mind is flooded with intense thoughts and abstract ideas, but I get zero actual visuals. It’s entirely cognitive. Even with an eye mask and music, it feels like everything is happening "in my head" rather than "in front of my eyes."

My Questions:
- Pre-trip Prep: Are there specific preparations (diet, fasting, or meditation) that could help "unlock" or stabilize visuals for oral intake?
- Mental Block: Could the fact that I got "scared" that one time be creating a subconscious block? How do I move past this?
- Age & Chemistry: Could my age (18) or personal brain chemistry be a factor in why the experience is purely cognitive and not visual?
- Visuals vs. Imagination: To clarify, I do not have Aphantasia. I can easily imagine images in my mind when I close my eyes. But during the trip, it remains as "internal imagination" rather than the "vivid externalized visuals" commonly described. Is this common?
