Sep funnel stopcock sticking, remedies?

Title says it all really, the stopcock on my sep funnel always sticks, obviously because it's got a highly basic solution in it. What can I do to avoid this, other than not leaving anything in it when I'm not using it and washing it every time? I know I've probably answered my own question, but if anyone has any top tips, I'd love to hear them please. Thanks.

Run hot water over it to get it unstuck and take it apart before you put it away.

damn wish I'd thought of that. I just had this problem yesterday and ended up breaking the handle right off. I cleaned it damn well before storing it, but definitely a good tip to still store the parts separated.
