Separatory funnel cleaning?

SWIM wantS to use their separatory funnel for a food grade extraction of a certain cactus. However, this person has used the sep funnel for DMT once in the past. It once contained lye/mimosa. If he/she cleans this out with normal dishwashing liquid and there is no visible residue, would it be safe to reuse for a food grade extraction of cacti?
