While browsing around on the Shamanic Extracts website, I noticed that they are selling sclerotia. It also says that no shipping restrictions apply. I know these fungi are legal where SE is based (Holland), but definitely not state side. Do you think if the sclerotia were shipped to the U.S., that it would actually make it to the desired location with no legal trouble?

It's a gambling game... Not worth it in my opinion, when you consider how easy (and fun) it is to grow from spores. From what i remember, it takes longer to grow sclerotia than mushrooms, but it's one of the easiest to succede with. Have a look at the Shroomery, they have all you need shrromgrowingwise.

You make a good point, it may not be worth the risk. Just because I never had any trouble getting them in doesn't mean someone else won't. I never found their sclerotia to be terribly potent either. Growing your own mushies from spores is a rather enjoyable hobby and the spores are easy to obtain with no trouble.
