:surprised hello all please answer if u can help me out
Ph 3.6/4 when I began acid cook on
Ph 5.3, /5.7 when compleat
Should I adjust to 3.6/4 before I add base?????????
Cheers Ekeen
Not if you have a way to measure the PH and aren't following a recipe. You're aiming for a range of basic PH suitable for extracting with a solvent rather than a given amount of base added.
Cheers for your replies so Let me just make sure I have this right what you’re saying is the pH of my soup when the acid cooks complete doesn’t have any relevancy to the next process
......so I will then basify to 13? Using the correct ratio ?! And then also am I to keep the pH at 13 throughout the extraction process or just add some more bass before last pull I have had success in the past I just want to make sure I’m getting the most out of the material as always feel like I’m throwing something away and end up with copious amounts of questionable basified liquid hanging around
There is no such thing as adding too much base, the extra base helps keep emulsions at bay. There is only such a thing as adding it too fast which will heat your solution over 50c and boil your dmt which wont stand over those temps.
