SUPPOSEDLY... 2012 is the year the new Shpongle album is released... we'll see, those guys seem kinda busy to finish an album this year.

I do quite enjoy some Shpongle, but to be honest 'Divine Moments of Truth' is probably one of, if not my least favorite songs. The electronic "vocals" repeating DRUGS DRUGS DRUGS more or less seem so hack and cheesy to me and totally take me away from the rest of the song which I find quite good! However music appreciation is subjective so no big deal

well ineffable mysterious came out at the end of 09', then the god particle last year, now a new album coming this year, plus younger brothers stuff out last year..plus the shpongletron last year and this years 2.0 thing (whatever its called idk!)...so maybe it ain't all thaaaat bad heheh :lol:

although i agree..i could see a shpongle dj set getting old after a while. Its all about the live band!

although i agree..i could see a shpongle dj set getting old after a while. Its all about the live band!

Ive never been lucky enough to see the full band play live. Its always been a dj set and honestly shpongletron IMO was super lame. It was so over the top with flashing lights and randomness with absolutely zero flow to it it drove my eye's crazy and I had to leave before the set finished. The visuals didnt even go with the tracks being played. My eye couldn't take any more of the same graphics repeated over and over so I left for the last 2 songs.

Simon looked bored up there and wasn't mixing anything. He basically hit play on his cd and stood up there for 90 min waving his arms around like a conductor. I swear on my father's grave From the VIP area I was in I saw him actually roll his eye's at one point. He couldn't even fake being into it. The show sucked.

I would however pay to see the full band but ill never give a dj set another go. Ive seen him 3 times now and it just gets worse every time.

Sorry to sound like such a hater but he really let Portland down. Im far from the only one that felt this way last year.

going to my first shpongle show tonight in chattanooga. i'm pretty excited. shpongle is, by far, my very favorite psychedelic music. i can't wait to hear the tunes i love on a monster sound system. unfortunately (or not) it appears that the only reality augmentation tool at my disposal is cannabis, atm.

saw shpongle last night in chattanooga. really great show. and shpongletron 2.0 was pretty intense. recommended.

I saw a dj set at Glade Festival and then a live show at the Roundhouse. The dj set was a bit of a let down. There was no attempt to mix any of the tunes and it looked like Raja Ram kept getting in the way. The Roundhouse live show was amazing. It felt like the set had been carefully planned out and rehearsed, the musicianship was of the highest quality and I got the impression a huge amount of work had gone into the event. I'd definitely like to see them live again.

Ott always delivers. His set at Glade and the Shpongle after party were excellent.
I'd love to see Younger Brother perform live, but they need to loose that singer who now seems to be a permanent member. His vocals completely destroyed their most recent album.

I will totally be there I've been looking forward to this show for a few weeks now and am super stoked! I saw sphongle last year at electric forest and he killed it, I'm also looking forward to his set this year at summercamp!

His CD-J sets are really boring. Really wish they'd do more live shows.
