Silene Capensis

In my research for interesting botanical species I came across Silene Capensis (African dream root) several years ago.
But, as now , I was unable to find any detailed alkaloids analysis.

Anyone on the nexus is familiar with this interesting plant?
Traditional recipes consist churning the mixture with a forked mixing-stick to produce a thick foam layer. The foam is collected and ingested, during several days.
Unfortunately... I never had significant effects from foam ingestion.

Triterpenoid saponins could be responsible for the oneirogens profile.
And, as far I can tell, saponins are insoluble in water, so maybe an ethanol extraction could be effective.
I'd like to make a concentrate extract, to test if this plant has some kind of interest.

Any suggestion?

There has been a thread about this interesting herb a while ago. I think it was the Traveler who took it for a while and speculated about it's MAO Properties, but nothing conclusive can be said. More bioessay is necessary. I do have some root but havn't found the right mood and courage to give it a try.
