Silly Freeze Precipitation Idea

Hey, SWIM had a simpleton thought about the freeze precipitation method. The other day SWIM had some naphtha poured off after freeze precipitating and water sitting in a mason jar and shook it up in a silly attempt to try to...lol, idk, I guess to clean naphtha? WELL anyways SWIM did it and noticed that the layers separated which was to be expected, but started to notice something in the water layer of the jar walls that isn't tiny air bubbles or naptha drops. SWIM thought maybe just a thin layer of contamination, but maybe, just maybe it could be DMT or NMT that formed a thin layer on the side of the water layer? I havn't really touched it but was wondering what could happen if one were to place the water/naphtha in the freezer? I would guess water would just freeze. I ponder these thoughts because of the difficulty I have with drying crystals. I think the problem stems from either the naphtha solvent still being present even though the freakin xtals have been sitting in the freezer open for like 2. And even when I pull the xtals out to dry the melt no matter how much fanning or flipping of the mason jars to drain naphtha, THEY STILL FREAKIN MELT!!! Ive tried the coffee filter drying and that melted into the filter I tried with a rolling paper still didn't work
SOOO I'm stumped and completely frustrated at this week long affairs of trying to producing crystals that just end up melting. SWIM is in Hawaii but it doesn't get that hot where SWIM is, and SWIM used ACRB if that has anything to do with it. So could I even slightly be on to something? or am I just being a silly person for suggesting this?

That is odd. I'm a bit confused by this "Water layer" you mention, however. You mean between the Naptha and water, there's some solution? It could be ACRB fat that wasn't all removed, as ACRB is quite a fatty extract material... Could you get a picture of this layer?

As for the crystals melting, don't worry, I use ACRB and I have that problem too. In almost any case your crystals are going to melt down into that goo once it hits room temp. The best thing to do is drain the naptha out, and soak up as much naptha as you can as quick as possible before the crystals begin to melt. Then, scrape up the goo into one little corner of your pan with a razor blade, and then refreeze it for 30 minutes to an hour. Take it out, put a fan on it agitate the jelly a little bit with your razor, and repeat the process until you have a nice waxy material that's at least 92% DMT.. This is what I smoke and it works just as well if not better.

I'm not too familiar wit ACRB

But have you tried putting the goo in the fridge after refreezing in the freezer?

Best is to maybe put freeze precip container upside down on a plate, so that if it oes melt it will be on the plate.

I know with MHRB, if you take it out the freezer, decant, and immediately put in the fridge for 2 or 3 hours, the crystals don't melt.

Its like, you don't wanna shock it from freezing to room temperature, you wanna gradually raise the temp from freezing to room by using the fridge as a middle step

Thanks for the info Fear. I was beginning to wondering if it was even possible to obtain spice by ACRB extraction. I saw the Thick-light tek and was in awe, gawking at the spice pics.:want: By water layer I mean the water sits at the bottom and the naphtha on top. So just the bottom half of the jar that's filled with water has the unknown film of what I thought could have been dmt. But fats is very possible since I did not do a defat. Ill try to get a good pic but idk if it'll be visible. Lol, I just looked at the goo thread the other day. I do feel dumb for wanting spice after reading through that because the goo does work very well. But if I could get a wax consistency that would be killer! So refreezing the goo and agitating over and over will somewhat thicken it? Interesting...I will definitely have to try this!
Thanks for the suggestion changalvia. I will also have to try your of gradual temp changing. I read about the gradual temp. change for creating big x-tals using the fridge to freezer method. So I will definitely have to try this method.:thumb_up:
