Science paper "Single DMT dose treats stress-induced depression more effectively than Prozac in mice"

Pure science papers to share and discuss.
Sometimes I feel that the people most into DMT can also seem the most unbalanced at times. Some ppl do it a lot and seem to have very poor mental health and the DMT seems to be more the focus of like…unhealthy obsession? I have a lot of skepticism around using psychedelics as a one off treatment for depression etc. After seeing and knowing many ppl with depression using DMT the benefits ultimately seem temporary.

It's also likely that the first dose is the most beneficial and then with frequent use it becomes less and less beneficial.

I feel most people reach a ceiling with these medicines sooner or later. At some point, it all becomes about integration and implementing the lessons learned.
People who use psychedelics to escape reality simply hide from themselves. There will never be an end to the variety of experiences you could get. What is the end goal here?

Are you after healing? Then face yourself and heal. Are you exploring the universe? Maybe it's a good idea to start by exploring yourself first. You can see later on if anything else needs to be explored.

Doing too much DMT could shake anyone, and you can easily swing into crazy territory. This work is an art form. It's a carefully balanced act between sanity and insanity.
I saw a few times how easily I could have screwed up my psyche for life. Thank God, some inner wisdom keeps a watchful eye on everyone. Perhaps that's what God is.
Stay safe, stay sane.
I think so, and I find it most therapeutic when used infrequently with lots of living between experiences. The longer you go without it the more life pressures etc build so the release is greater. It’s like an orgasm.
I fully agree here. If you use it sporadically, you'll get the most out of it. Psychedelics are not a free ride either, and we always pay the price sooner or later. They will always be away from the mainstream, no matter the legislation. Most people are simply scared of them, and for a good reason. Stay vigilant and respectful.

This weekend was me planning to have a Harmalas + DMT session, I could have easily fit it in to Saturday or Sunday but currently my mum needs a little extra help around some medical stuff so I decided not to head into the space, there's a bunch of life stuff that should take precedence over personal play-time or exploration.
DMT is not an escape, I've never seen any drug in that way to be honest.
I even have my doubts that passed a certain point Psychedelics are not going to teach me anything, I'm here for the ride and to see what's out there, if there are unheard teachings to come though I'll happily accept them.

Anything in this world could be used to escape yourself, DMT included. You can see lots of examples if you are willing to look. It all comes down to your own maturity.
What I meant by ceiling is that, after a certain point, the message is always the same. I speak only from my own experience. I don't really care about confirmation or convincing anyone of anything. After enough work, you need to move on if you want to go deeper. Whoever has ears, let them hear.
