Skipping the wash

Recently after a nice extraction. All was lost in a wash attempt . The sad thing is that it looked really pure to begin with. When it looks fluffy white and clean, would a wash not be necessary? Or is there grime that needs to go, that can not be seen with the naked eye?

What kind of extraction? I'm assuming naptha? If so not recommended to wash. No ammonia. Just let it dry in the filter.

I agree, the wash is unnecessary if you did your pull with naphta; I have just done an extraction and pulled with naphta and am currently freeze precipitating. having done this extraction before I find I get anything from slightly yellowish to off white crystals and IMO the more yellow they are the better the end result.

Yes, it was a Naptha extraction. This time I have separated the crystals into three filters for drying. The first looks clean bright white and fluffy. The second is white and clean with some minor yellow ness. The third looks like ear wax. I will only try to sodium carbonate wash the ear wax. Then I will sample all three, and see if improvements are needed.

Cool! Let us know how it goes. Have you tried evaporating the naptha to about 50ml and then freeze precipitating that?
