Hello Nexus,
I made some Changa with 0,3g Calea, 0,3g Mullein and 0,3g Chaliponga, with 1g Mimosa Spice and 0,3g Harmalas from Rue.
I have used it in sub breakthrough and in light doses to test the waters in the course of three/four weeks, smoking it from a tobacco pipe with a light tissue on the end and did not notice any negative physical symptoms aside from some head pressure and bowel movements during the come up and a bit of irritability after the come down.
Yesterday I smoked a bit more of it during the afternoon, packing the bowl with Artemisia, Blue lotus and Hash on top of the Changa. It left me with a fleeting headache. Maybe there was too much material.
In the evening I decided to finish the bowl, discarding the burnt top herbs. After doing it i felt some phlegm in my throat and upon spitting it up i saw some blood in it, so I spit again for five/six times and there was still blood.
After a brief time it stopped. The bowl wasn't harsh, it was actually smooth.
I am writing this the morning after, my throat and lungs feel fine and I'm breathing in a normal way.
The same thing happened to me after making some heavy harmalas changa and using it with a dry bong, some months before.
Both Changas were from the same batches, with the same base herbs.
What could that be? Base contamination? Incandescent smoke? Too much plant material?
A combo of all three?
Should I wash it with some distilled water?
I am a bit sad with it, it was a good blend and felt ready to dive deeper...
