Snowboarding

Migrated topic.

I like this site for buying gear

I have a 2 nitro boards not on there.

I have one with a standard camber for when I make it to actual mountains

Then a rocker for around here in the terrain parks (repurposed trash heaps, and city jibbing)

I found the rocker actually works quite well in the pow, keeps the nose up easier. I CANNOT wait!!! I'm so freakin. I have been chickening out the last couple seasons but this year I plan on workin on my spins. I hope to get the 360 down this snow year. I know how to do it, I just wuss out right before the lip. Don't quite have 180 down but i can usually do them.

You guys use the toe cap style bindings? I used to think they were stupid until I used some for a whole day. now I swear by em. If you havent worn 32's as far as boots go these are by far the most comfortable boots ever. They form to your feet and are not all that expensive.

+1 for snowboarding , no better feeling than that fresh air streaming over your face listening to the sound of the snow when you're carving well with the adrenaline pumping. Going over ice then hitting pow is beautiful, shhhhiii then shuuuuu :D

I don't board, but I do telemark ski. A good day on tele skis in the bumps while on a threshold dose of the little magic ones is pure blis:d s.

Telemarking looks like one of the hardest winter sport to do. Looks really physically demanding.

Nice to see this thread come alive again :)

I ended up buying a very good used Nitro board from a friend.

I think that will last me another winter :)

But I've never been riding on shrooms or lsd. Definitely trying out some shrooms this season :) Makes you learn fast. Connect to your subconscious and gives you super reflexes :)

anyone ride super pipe? or even just half pipe?
I need to get back into that.

frontside 540's and switch 3's are the tricks for this season..Id like to cork them out but you need the right conditions for that cus falling on ice sucks.

I need some snowshoes.

I have tried riding pipe, but am definitely more comfortable in park.

I know what you mean about conditions. If i'm not fully confident with a trick, just the fact the landing area is rock hard will put me off completely. A good night's snowfall definitely helps.
