Hi distant travellers!

Just wanted to post a short message to introduce myself. I've been visiting the Nexus for a few years now and everytime I decided to join the registrations were closed, so it’s good to have finally come upon the registrations when the doors were open and finally sign up to be a member.

I don't have a great amount of experience with DMT, I’ve only used change a couple of times and haven’t gone that deep with it. My introduction to psychedelics was only a few years ago when I first tried LSD. LSD brought me back from the brink of destruction and helped me to overcome my addictions and dark depression. I’ll always have a special place for that sacred molecule and I really can’t undersell the positive impact psychedelics have had on my life and well-being. They've pushed me into connecting more with my true self and taught me to love and appreciate who I am and to always trust myself before all others. That’s why it’s great to find a place that responsibly discusses the use of psychedelics and respects the different choices people have for using them.

I’ve gotta say, this forum is easily one of my favorite places on the internet. The discussions, intelligent insights and amazing and knowledgeable members here is unlike any other forum I have seen. The topics discussed here are stuff I could never talk with people to in real life, so its good to find some likeminded humans. It’s really a special place and I’m glad to finally be a member and hopefully taking part in the discussions in the future.

I too have found my home away from home within this site. It is truly incredible. It definitely has to do with the higher standard we hold ourselves to here. That is not something you can find on the Internet very easily these days, or ever for that matter...I mean Erowid and Shroomery (and many others that I am not members of but visit on occasion) are okay but the first is a bit outdated and the latter has a lot of misinformation if you aren't careful. It is always good to cross reference information no matter the situation.

Be sure to check out the FAQ and the attitude page if you haven't already. Also, taking the questionnaire can help give us an idea of your intentions and lead to faster promotion. Once promoted you can post pretty much anywhere in the forum. Lastly, if you like having conversations in real time, then check out the chat. There is always someone on there to talk about anything and everything!

You mentioned LSD helped you change things in life, im glad for that! These substances certainly helped me change a lot in my life too, from changing bad habits into health ones, to helping fix relationships, and also helping giving me some kind of 'existential peace' that is very hard to explain to people who never been there.

You mentioned you only used dmt a couple of times.. Was that vaporized/smoked or oral?

Did you try shrooms too?

I've gotta agree that psychedelics can have all kinds of positive impacts such as the ones already talked about. They had that impact on me.

I'm also curious as to whether or not you've tried mushrooms because although LSD was my introduction to tripping, I have always found mushrooms to be much more healing and thought provoking.

Lsd has never tripped my thoughts out the way mushies have.
Ha-ha, that being said I've yet to find my "limit" with acid, but I couldn't consume more than a quarter of mushrooms without being off the scale trippin'.

I’ve only tried shrooms twice, specifically subaeruginosa. I found that to be a completely different experience to LSD, it was much darker and my mind didn’t have the clarity and cleanness I get on LSD. My anxiety was also much worse, LSD doesn’t give me anxiety but with shrooms it seems to bring out the worse in my anxiety. I do hope to try cubensis eventually though.

I’ve only used changa. I’ve smoked it 4 times, each time out of a bong. I’m not sure what pure DMT is like so I have nothing to compare it to, but with the changa I felt very grounded and within myself, it wasn’t anything like losing a sense of my body or sense of who I am, which is often what I’ve read about. On my first time with changa I experienced an OEV, in what looked like to be a huge omega (Ω) symbol in my room, and I’m telling you this wasn’t a hallucination, the symbol was actually right there in front of me, it was as real as I am. I’ve never experienced anything like that before. But DMT just feels so alien to me, it's so different. I still have a lot of fear to overcome before experimenting with it further but I’m not in any rush.
