Never used heated naphtha... I thought hot naphtha pulls out a lot more fats and such, no? the yield ended up being around 1.3% . I dont know how that compares with todays current root bark.

Mimosa bark contains practically no fats. What happens with heated naphtha is that it pulls more of the aggregated DMT oligomers. Check the "Minimum polymer" thread for more details on this.

Looks about right for harvesting the whites. There potentially is another 0.5 to 1% to harvest using hot naphtha (50degC or 120degF) but that will likely be dmt in oily or deep yellow form as downwardsfromzero suggested. Happy trials...

natural bark never goes bad.. as long as its reasonably dry...

I never!!! order spice bark already ground up into a powder! it looks too suspicious...

Your safer to store it in its natural bark form ..if you only need to make just a small amount of spice from time to time..

You could leave the bark in a bucket.. [top of bucket covered]..or couple plastic bags near some fire wood outside in the winter back yard...it would never arouse any suspicion!

whats in the bark will remain it the bark ..untill its needed...the beauty is in the invisable ...
