Some questions about extracting DMT...

In a few weeks I'm going to extract some DMT for personal use.
I'm going to use the Noman's tek, instead of washing it with amnonia i'll wash it with sodium (as told in a topic)

I need to be sure about some things...

a)What's the easiest way to seperate the top layer (naphtha,...) from the water?
A needle? I heard something about a turkey baster... But anyone knows where i can get it in Belgium?

b)Most of u are using Naphta, where do u get it? Is it expensive? Are there other non-polar solvents I can use? That you know that are free to get in Belgium?

c)Sodium = Na2CO3?

a - my friend has taken to siphoning off the bottom layer with a piece of vinyl tubeing and using a separatory funnel for the rest

b - heptane, ether, chloroform, DCM - I really don't know how to get what in Belgium

c - if you mean carbonate, yes (though I highly recommend you skip washing altogether and recrystalize)

d - the naptha does not have to be warm

e - I would have to see the full context, but I think I was saying that the ratio decreases as expcted alkaloid content decreases. Start with 1:10 and if nothing precips, evap half and see. Then you'll know.

f - salvia and mj are two smokeables that go nicely with a bit of DMT on them. Water won't work, you can just put a drop or two of solvent in the jars and swirl it around and evap it if you wish.
