This is a question to the moderators. I'm noticing more and more spam here on the Nexus. And I h8 spam :( Wouldn't it be a great idea to put this verifycation code thing on new users or something. Or is that something complicated?
 
Hello DMTripper, A new mod has been installed now, hopefully this will help against those pesky critters called spambots. As a sidenote, there already was a veryfication code but this could be surpassed quite neatly by those pesky little critters. :( So lets hope this new mod will help (with a new registration there will be asked if you are a human, each time with different access values to prevent spambot guessing).

Perhaps it's possible to install something like this on DMT-Nexus as well.
 
Hopefully this mod gets rid of atleast a few of those pesky spammers :) Hey Traveler I'll scrounge around for more anti spam mods and also maybe we should make it so that to sign up you need a confirmation email sent to you.

In the meantime I'll checkout the confirmation mail.
 
Thanks psilo. Where slowly getting this spam under control (sort of :lol: ) and The Traveler and I will be adding more anti spam stuff as time goes on. Quantum and Noman have got this flank covered pretty good and the other sections don't really get spam much so overall things should be looking better. If you still would like to be a mod for a different section send me a PM.
 
Hey guys,I just deleted another spam thread,and I`m still at the library.My new modem should arrive any day now and I will spend much more on-line time once I have the internet at home.Bear with me any day now.
