Hi there
A friend has messed up, he extracted 200g of MHRB using ASPEN4 Fuel
^^^ says 90% naptha but 0.1 benzine.
Yields where great 1.7g but it stunk of naphtha and was quite greasy and sticky still 24 hours later.
SWIM has acquired pure naphtha
SWIM has redissolved the spice in the above but when frozen out, it still smells but not quite as bad as before and it is not sticky at all!
SWIM has redissolved his spice again in the hope that more of the unwanted bits will come out after a nights freeze...
My question is this, how does SWIM clean this spice up, SWIM cannot source any heptane.
SWIM was advised that if SWIM dissolve the spice in some IPA or Acetone (SWIM have both) then let it evap that would free up the naphtha and then that would evap off with the acetone? is this the case?
Without hexane what can SWIM do?
if SWIM put it in some hot water and dropped the ph with sulfuric acid to 3, would it become a salt again and become water soluble??? could SWIM then base it with lye and extract with some pure naphtha? and it would be ok?
Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated!
