Anyone else experienced this? I gave some to my friend the other night and both times he took it he threw up pretty damn violently. All my other friends using the same stuff have never even felt sick never mind thrown up.

I've puked before when I had a few drinks before smoking. I suppose someone could puke from just about any strange smoke taken into the lungs.

Did he have any other substances in his body at the time? My friend had nausea once when combining MJ + DMT

he smokes weed pretty much like cigs, which might explain it i suppose. Mephedrone too i think, but thats not made anyone else sick either.

he is generally sick ALOT though :P

I have smoked enhanced leaf 8 times now having first extracted it this summer. The last 3 times I've smoked it I have vomited later on that night. I'm not sure if this is related - the first 5 times I was fine.

I did have some MJ later on in the evening, but I always do this anyway after any psychedlic. There was no other drug in my system when I smoked the spice.

I will need to experiment further, but I suspect they are probably not related.

With regard to vomiting when I'm having the experience, I've not even felt slightly nauseous although I can imagine I would if I'd consumed alcohol.

Some people always vomit from DMT no matter what if the dose is enough for good visual effects. It's called "cybersickness" and is from the visual effects, much like how some video games make certain people vomit, hence the name “cybersickness”. It’s the same phenomenon, from what I understand, as it’s not related to the stomach because DMT doesn’t affect the stomach when smoked. It’s caused by the visual data coming in showing movement that doesn’t match the movement censors in the ears. When the two don’t match, certain people get "cybersickness". It’s nearly the same as “motion sickness” but you’re not actually moving, your visual field is.

Scopolamine should be a good aid for this particular problem. It’s one of the most effective motion sickness medicines there is. NASA uses it. Scopolamine is found in almost pure form in Datura inoxia seeds (about 0.4% scopolamine, and about 97% pure).

See if 5 Datura inoxia seeds help. That amount of seeds has no effect other than a very slight sedative effect, and should be very helpful in preventing “cybersickness”.

P.S. don't take too many more, datura is not to be toyed with, can be dangerous and deadly in psychedelic quantities! :)

I've thought a lot about this throwing up thing. I have no idea if the body would sort out vomit for you on DMT, or if you would be at risk of choking. Does anyone know? In ignorance, it would be safest to always smoke sitting bolt upright, but of course that may not be comfortable when you leave your body, maybe you'd topple over?!

I think a compromise would be to always have a sitter when you first start out, so you can recline nicely on voyages without any chance of doing a Hendrix.

Or, if you can't have a sitter so have to begin your relationship with the molecule alone, then smoke in a relatively upright but comfey chair (enough that you wouldn't choke if you vomited), or in the recovery position (lying on your front with your head to the side, a bit like you're running in a marathon... hmmm... I wonder how that would work for hyperspace travel?!)

(Incidentally, I read once that natives sit on the floor or in chairs when they drink aya... which would mean they were never in danger of choking on spew.)

Once you've well acquainted with the molecule and know that you don't have this vomiting problem, well then it's your choice how you smoke. Dreamer now likes to be in a comfey reclined chair, almost upright, but when he started out he was lying on his back in bed, not knowing about this spewing problem that some people get.

I might be being overcautious here, but I'd hate to see someone choke to death on their own vomit after smoking too much and experiencing complete ego loss and drowning in the process... if it's even possible to drown that quickly, it would have to be two minutes to die, I think? Sometimes DMT makes you think you're dying, so imagine feeling yourself actually dying but ignoring it because that's how it's meant to feel?!! I don't know, hasn't happened to anyone yet, maybe it never will.

Actually mephedrone has killed a few people, so I wouldn't rule that toxic stuff out as a culprit.

But regardless, yes I've seen it make people slightly ill, and even throw up on occasion. I think it probably has more to do with the smoke, not the experience.

Excellent advise oyahoco

Ive gone throught my fair share of vomiting on Spice,
I had a bit of a scary experience a while back, I pulled my cone lay back on my bed, then I was "there". I felt a sudden urge to vomit, tried to fight it but it just came out, luckily I had my head on 2x pillows.

Nowadays I never journey lying down, always with my head upright, back in a comfy wicker chair or on the floor against my bed.

Safe travels everyone.

Thanks. Come to think of it, dreamer has had to stop smoking to hold in a retch on a couple of occasions after taking too big a lungful... but this was I expect purely due to the smoke itself, because the effects hadn't even begun yet.
