No need to remove excess fumaric if converting to freebase, the base will take care of it. It's only a problem if SWIY needs an accurate weight of the DMT fumarate, is foolhardy enough to stick it up his nose, or simply wants more purified fumarate crystals.
 
UPDATE: so SWIM tells me his third FASW on the first d-limo pull yielded 280mg of chunky material like the second FASW..so 280mg minus the 150mg fumaric acid used in the FASW..means he got another 130mg dmt...for a total of 700mg dmt from the FIRST d-limonene pull!! that is just about .87% yield from the first pull!! how exciting!

his second d-limonene has been FASW'ed and is now in the oven at 250F...all three FASW's..and hes got his third d-limonene pull mixing with its first FASW now..

SWIM says hes wicked excited to try this stuff out..if people arent lying about their jungle spice potency..this should be quite the number of launches!
 
SWIM is also reusing his d-limonene...one in the mimosa tea..and the other being FASW'ed so anything that doesnt come out of the three FASW's is just being recycled...

hes going to do at least 5 pulls from this...but the last two hes going to give at least a week or so between pulls
 
swim is evaporating the fasw from the first 3 combined pulls - atm it looks mostly evapped but its like - honey or something - does it take long to solidify ?
what is swiy putting in the oven at 250f ?
 
the dmt fumarate from the FASW

SWIM's first FASW turned into beautiful feathers..the second one was like very tacky honey..that when scraped up solidified quite a bit..and the third one had a bunch of little crystals...half of it was fumaric acid and the other half was dmt fumarate..or so...

it is tough to scrape up..but it does scrape up..

SWIM has freebased his 1150mg dmt fumarate plus bits of fumaric acid with 2g sodium carbonate and 3ml of water...stirred for about 10 minutes..to make sure all the chunks dissolved..and now its drying in the food dehydrator..then he will either pull from that with warm-hot d-limonene or he may just use some dried MEK
 
it may already be solid Phlux- try scratching the surface with a knife...if it cuts it..comes back dry..scrape that shit up!! :D
 
thanks man - for swiys freebasing - how well does mek work for spice ? how does it differ from using acetone here ? (assuming the paste is dried)
 
no, help, swim is stuck rock solid.

its clear and beautifull and like hard as glass and 100% attached to the dish :)
any ideas ?
 
SWIM's second d-limo pull yielded a total of 660mg dmt fumarate plus fumaric acid...he used ~450mg fumaric acid...so thats 210mg dmt for a total of 910mg dmt from two pulls...which is a yield of 1.1%

hes gonna let the fourth d-limonene pull sit for a week or so...and then heat it up to maybe 100F shake it really good..let separate and then see what he can get out of that...

hes sure he is going to be able to get at least another 300mg out..as long as he lets the lye do its thing

get a knife and make cuts across it...the sharp end down..and push and make scratches across it..do this a lot...it may take some elbow grease to get it off..but it DOES come off..SWIM is now evaporating his saturated MEK..and hes gonna weigh the solids that were left over to see how much he got out of the mess
 
wow wow wow - thank u for this tek jorkest - first pull yeilded 1.232g - this is from 40g bark so its obviously badly contaminated with fumaric acid -
the proceedure of scraping it was amazing - at first it was clear - like a boiled sweet or something and honey in color - on scraping it became harder and harder until it was like little rocks - these were further chopped up until it was a powder.
an acetone wash is going to be done quickly to remove excess fumaric acid.

Would putting fumarate in 250f oven not completely destroy it? I thought I remember around 155f being about as hot as you can safely make it without losing product.

Also, is just subtracting the amount of fumaric acid you used by the amount you yielded actually give you your yield in fumarate? Wouldn't you have to assume that some of the fumaric acid you used was consumed in the reaction?
 
not sure but swim just washed it 3 times with acetone - now the fumarates weigh 1060mg, swim will collect all the fumarates before proceeding to the next step.
 
NARMZ- it would react..but what SWIM is telling me is that is how much FREEBASE he will have after he converts it..because when he adds the base..that fumaric acid will be stripped from the dmt

also dmt fumarate MELTS at about 300F not boils off..so it should be plenty safe

NICE DUDE! that means you have like 700mg spice...that is almost up to 2%...hahha where did SWIY get their bark from anyway?!
