i have had some pedro chunked and sitting in water for a couple of months at room temperature in a sealed bottle. the mixture has no signs of any growth nor does it smell bad at all (i have had a cactus rot and believe me it smells like the devils ass). in fact it seems to be in pretty much the exact state it was in as when i put it in the bottle.

so...

is it safe to use to make resin? my gut instinct is probably but i thought i would ask for advice anyway.

Yes, I can't see why it wouldn't be safe! If it has been stored air-tight, the worst scenario is only a decrease in potency.

a decrease in potency would be a shame but i guess i will get on making some resin i will get back with the results.
