STB calcium hydroxide extraction

SWIM's other friend was talking about possibly doing one of these using calcium hydroxide instead of lye since it sounds safer and the resulting product might be cleaner to smoke as well, even unwashed. Calcium hydroxide seems easy to procure as it is used as an aquarium supplement produced by a company called ESV.

Don't think that one has been completely written up for dmt yet. The thing with calcium hydroxide is that you use minimal water, just enough to make the powdered plant material moist and then let is sit for 5-10 minutes to react. The water is all taken up in the reaction and none is left to absorb any freebase leaving all the freebase to be absorbed by the solvent giving optimal yields. The TEK would go something like this.
1. Add 25 gr calcium hydroxide to 100 gr powdered MHRB.
2. Add just enough water to the powdered mix to make it wet but not watery (approximately 300 ml) and mix well. Let the mix sit for 5-10 minutes to let react.
3. Add 300 ml of solvent (Naptha), mix well and let sit for several hours. Warm naptha will absorb more freebase than cold naptha.
4. Filter off the Naptha and put it into the freezer over night. Crystal freebase dmt should precipitate out. The naptha can then be poured off and the crystals dried. The naptha could then be used to wash the plant material again or evaporated to get the remaining dmt from it. It's possible that the naptha may need to be partially evaporated before freeze precipitating. The plant material should be washed at least two times, maybe more.
SWIM has not actually used this TEK yet since he still has lye but it could possibly be the best TEK yet.

This is called the drytek, and yes, it's an STB with minimal water.

A dry tech produces better results for DMT because freebase DMT is slightly soluble in basic solutions.

You can get better yields mixing your 100 grams of dry finely powdered MHRB with 25 grams of calcium hydroxide, and then adding just enough water to make it wet but not soggy or dripping wet, about as wet as cookie dough. Then mix the thick stuff thoroughly for about 5 minutes and let it sit a few hours mixing occasionally. It will be hard to mix. It will take some muscle. You’ll need a heavy wooden spoon or a cookie dough mixing machine to mix it. Then mix in your naphtha (or d-limonene) thoroughly for about 5 minutes and let it sit a few hours and then collect the naphtha by decanting it. If you did it correctly, no water should come out of the MHRB/Calcium mix. If any water comes out, you used too much water.

Full a/b version:

1 - Powderize your mimosa bark. Mix 100 grams of bark with 25 grams of calcium hydroxide. Add enough water to make it feel wet but not watery. Mix for about 5 minutes.

2 - Add 300 ml of d-limonene. Mix well. Let sit a few hours.

3 - Pour off the d-limonene through a filter.

4 - Add 25 ml of vinegar to the d-limonene. Mix thoroughly.

5 - Separate the vinegar from the d-limonene (the vinegar is at the bottom, the d-limonene at the top). This vinegar will contain DMT acetate. Evaporate your vinegar in a food dehydrator at 155 F to get sticky DMT acetate.

6 - Repeat steps 4 and 5 at least 2-3 times,

7 - Repeat steps 2 - 6 at least 2 times.

THE NEXT STEPS ARE FOR GETTING FREEBASE DMT. These steps can be skipped if using the DMT for ayahuasca.

8 - Take your sticky DMT acetate, and add about 2 parts calcium hydroxide and a tiny bit of water, just enough to make it wet. Thoroughly mix it. Let it sit for about 5 minutes or so. Evaporate your freebased DMT in a food dehydrator at no hotter than 110 F to get freebase DMT, calcium hydroxide, and calcium acetate.

9 - Dissolve your DMT (it’s about 1 gram at this point) and other calcium junk in about 25 ml of warm d-limonene (no hotter than 110 F). Filter and evaporate your d-limonene in a food dehydrator at no hotter than 110 F to get freebase DMT,

10 - Repeat step 9 until no more DMT is extracted from the calcium mix.

Thanks. Is the full tek necessary with the de-limonene and vinegar? or can one just use the shorter tek with mhrb, calcium hydroxide, and naptha?

My friend has yet to try using minimal water and calcium hydroxide, but 69ron says it would work so I trust it will.
So no, you don't have to do the full version.

Naphtha is not as good a solvent for doing an STB unless a stronger base is used. That's my understanding.

Yes, but all STBs except this one use sodium hydroxide as their base anyway so naphtha was/is always used.
I think 69ron explained why this tek works better with this weaker base, however I don't know if he's actually done it with naphtha.
I would of thought he has if he's telling people you can get better yields than standard STB by using calcium hydroxide and naphtha.
