STB ruins dyeing qualities?

Hi, I'm interested if anybody has any pictures of clothes that have been dyed with hostilis and if there is a way to do an tek while preserving the dying ability of the bark. thanks

I've made a half-assed attempt at dying a t-shirt with the remains of an extraction and it winds up being a light brown. I didn't soak the shirt in a sodium carbonate bath first and didn't keep the fabric wet for all that long after the dye was applied. I was hoping to get a bit of the purple color that untainted bark will give, but no luck, all that basification just makes it brown. Good luck
