Stirring it continuously (for like 12 hours) ?

Goodmorning!

So I was thinking, now I am extracting it like the first picture. In a pan with heat and shaking it every one hour or 30 minutes when the layers are visible again.

But what if I did it in this machine in the second picture? And keep it running for 12 hours so the naptha has every second of those 12 hours to grab the dmt.

Only thing is it won't be covered and there is no heating source, but I did read that heating isn't a priority? Does somebody know or has any experience with this?

EDIT: I figured out how to keep it warm and kinda covered.. so I guess the only question remains is if it works if its stirred for 12 hours without any break

Hey,

As far as I know, mixers like this work at relatively high RPM even at their lowest setting. Be careful not to over-stir the mixture and create an emulsion, as it's extra steps and work needed to fix that.

I believe that the NPS can grab only so much spice from the plant matter, so maybe do at least three separate pulls with fresh NPS poured in, and if you manage to run it on very low RPM and not create emulsions it should work.

That's simply put, a waste of time :lol:
You dont need that.

Heating alone with little stirring every now and then would probabbly yield more DMT per pull (and cleaner), than stirring for 12h with little to no heat and kinda covered, plus constantly stirring a volatile solvent for 12h (in a "kinda" closed container) doesnt sound like a wise decision. (A lot may evap) And the rest that didn't evap would be formed in a unbreakable emulsion like Nydex mentioned.
And even if you pull this out, and you get increased yield of DMT per pull, that increase in yield would probabbly be unwanted fats/oils.

(I highly doubt this will work efficiently).

Oh, I didn't think about the effect of an open vessel actually, Th Entity is absolutely right - it will most likely evaporate and leave you with unwanted stuff...

I second his opinion, this method seems like a waste of time and plant matter. Just go with the regular way with a closed container. If you can get your hands on a reagent bottle (attached pic) that works excellent! I've used it two times already and it's perfect. Of course a separatory funnel is probably the best way to do it, but they can be a bit pricey depending on the vendor and size...
