Straining ayahuasca with a t-shirt

Sorry again for the stupid questions but I am half-way through finishing my brew. I'm wondering if straining it through a sock rather than a shirt would be ok? Would the DMT molecules actually pass through the sock fibers? I had to squeeze the sock with my hand to force the liquid through.

i should think it would be perfectly fine.

I have used a sock rubber banded to a funnel, the consequent sock brew certainly did the trick.8)
