1000ml water for 250g bark is too low imo..and so is your lye in there. add 2700-3000ml more water, and 100-150g more lye. otherwise you will encounter emulsions when pulling as i always do. and btw, u should use a HDPE milk jugs for your extraction...its far more efficient than a bowl/pot

Thank you for your suggestion. I am on my second extraction now. How would you proceed from here? My first extraction was very clear. i have 2 hours left on second. Should I proceed with extraction at proper time then add? Or should i check my yield after completion? Sorry if i over-posted it is my first extraction a little excited and didnt post photo properly.

SWIM was thinking of using hdpe container but a little neurotic about getting right jug. So SWIM decided to use SS and glass. Instead of pouring SWIM is using turkey baster.

I still have mhrb left so I intended to screw the pooch a little my first time and get better.

ok i have not scraped glass. This is what i got. Does it look right?

went ahead and scraped it is turning more yellow (i guess its oxidization) it is slightly greasy is this drying or natural.
