Science paper Syrian rue tea + magnesium chelate is safe?

Pure science papers to share and discuss.
Is Syrian rue tea + magnesium chelate safe? Have you ever tried it?
I'm considering taking some magnesium while on Syrian rue.

Sorry, I guess I posted this in the wrong thread. If so, please move it to the appropriate place. Thanks!

From what I'm reading, magnesium can cause trouble if there's kidney insufficiency or similar issues.
I don't think it should have anything to do with harmalas, but if it hasn't happened before, it may be better for you to not mix those two just in case.

Yeah, I turst harmalas but their mix with Mg... Ok thank you again I think I will be alright

I may try the mix myself, it surprises me that it could be generally troublesome but who knows. Or maybe it could be something else in rue. It's probably a good idea to drink some water to ensure that you're hydrated.

Yeah, magnesium is excreted in urine. I'm drinking water, and I ate about a 7 oz piece of cottage cheese to try to compensate for the calcium-magnesium imbalance in my body.

How do you know it's your kidneys hurting?

If you have any doubts, you should see a physician.

Our friend @starway7 has mentioned that harmalas promote magnesium excretion via the urine, so if you have high bodily levels of magnesium this could theoretically lead to deposits of of poorly soluble magnesium phosphate in the urinary tract. Get it checked out (ultrasound).

I was feeling it. Now it's better, but it's still not the best

That's very interesting. Why? Why not just excreted as usual? Could you give any recommendations on how to dissolve magnesium phosphate? What should I take?
I've read about potassium citrate and lemon juice. As I understand it, I should increase urine pH

Brain fart. I think I meant @Sabnock1990. He should able to clear up some of this.

Sounds like your kidneys are happy (enough) again. What's to say it wasn't a muscular cramp anyhow. Stay aware, but not fixated :)
