Just a thought..

When a new member signs up it would be a neat idea to have them accept the terms which include reading through the DMT Extraction Overview and Attitude page, and any others that come to mind, before they can register..

The attitude page is exactly what new members have to accept before registration is allowed, so that is already implemented.

I'm not sure what you mean with the "DMT Extraction Overview" though...

Noob welcoming is highly undervalued... for security + reposting the same questions

It is good community safety to inform all new users of basic internet security precautions and how to take extra precautions when dealing with ethnobotcanical chemistry (such being weary of ordering on a credit card, etc, suggestions can be given)

It is also a fantastic idea to introduce noobs to some solid & complete material. The DMT Extraction Overview page is a must following by the DMT Handbook PDF as a continuation from the overview.

With the proper enticement new users will hopefully read the suggested material and not clutter the board.

Only thing is...a lot of people do not ever read it, they just hit the "I Read The Statement" button, to get going as quickly as possible.
I've even done it myself before at other websites, etc...

So how do you make sure that they actually read it?
The new "THE NEXUS NURSERY" section is a good idea because it is kind of a speed bump for folks who would pop right through the "Attitude Page" without actually reading it.

Anyway, is there a way to be assured that people are actually reading it?

Sure there is; just ask the people to write a small essay summarizing the main points of the Attitude page, explaining how they understand it and underlining how they identify themselves with these points.

Mods will be assessing the essay for plagiarism among other things.

Boy, that is some evil thought, yikes! A definite no-no!
