Is anybody else curious about the new batman movie? The last one had a bit too much dialogue in it and a bit too little explosions and fights, in my opinion :lol: . Seeing batman lecturing people about symbolism and the justice system, was a bit of a dissapointment. I mean, you´re not gonna put on a batsuit, lead a double life and all that shit, only to lecture people about symbolism, do you? That just doesn´t make any sense. And then that weird voice...the guy has all of these gadgets, but no place for a little pack of tictac´s on his belt..come on, that´s just not credible. But still, i´m one of those few million suckers who´s likely to waste some money on this one anyway

I very rarely will pay to see a film, but I enjoyed batman begins and the dark knight. It's weird seeing a batman film without funny costumes and shark repellent and I think the funny voice and the cockney cool of Michael Caine make it a little more watchable.

So this being the final in the trilogy, how many years do you think it shall be before someone makes more Batman? It seems the greatest strength that most super-heroes share in kind is limitless shelf-life. Though in this respect Batman seems to be kicking supermans ass... ooooh the irony.

I heard good things about the new spiderman too, but I can wait until it finds me.

I'm looking forward to 'Ted' way more

Honestly, if they are going to remake a movie how about making a complete REMAKE from story to...well the big plot.
The new Spiderman is almost the same thing except with nice graphics.


All of these new remakes are soooo cheezy, and uninspired, boring stories.

And...Christopher Nolan is realy a great artist. Watch 'The Prestige'...it´s awesome. I could watch that movie a 100 times and not get bored with it. I think anyone who has ever seen that movie would agree with that. Thát movie is realy briliant.

I agree Poly, The Prestige is a great film. So is Memento. I think Nolan is one of the top directors working today. I look forward to his future films. :d

I saw it today. I did not like it. It wasn't horrible, it just didn't meet my standard for what I thought it would be. On the other hand, everyone I was with liked it and I didn't like the last one either. If you liked the last one, then I bet you'll like this one.

Wow, i´ve seen it and it´s great. I think it´s probably the best action movie i´ve ever seen. You can say what you want about hollywood, but it´s actually quite daring from the warner brothers that they gave Christopher Nolan this much space. This movie is in everything the opposite of the stereotypical shallow hollywood action movie.
It´s even quite political....it sheds a light on media spin, populism and everything that makes politic´s what it is these days without being very simplistic: almost every character has a hidden agenda of some kind without it always being clear whether that is a good or a bad thing. It´s not even completely clear whether there are real 'good guys' like there usually are in these type of movies, except maybe one side-character. Thia movie is not just shallow entertainment (although it definately is entertaining), it´s a big, epic, visual nightmare:twisted: that realy get´s under you skin.

I didn´t realy like the dark knight. But this movie is realy great.

It´s incredibly sad that people get so messed up in their head that they do these kind of things. Especially the fact that he also killed a six year-old kid is something...there are just no words for something like that.

I personally have always been very broke and did not have the benifit of any formal education. So when I see someone that has a bright future and money just snap like that, I find it personally shocking, I think it's a shame that this person could not appriciate the fact that he had a possibly bright future.

But like i said i'm pretty overly empathetic do to my exstensive psychedelic usages...
I cried during the movie Avatar for god's sake, and I didn't even see it in 3d.

So yeah I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm a sucker for empathy and human drama. During the Haiti earthquake I was freaking glued to CNN for like two weeks.

Well, statistically, since the 1980's mass killings have not increased in any significant amount. And i don't see how the belief that a minute minority of people have about the world ending in 2012 is going to change that.

Seriously there were ~161 deaths from mass killings in the 80's, and ~162 now. Don't let the media hype and hyperbole trying to make sense out of a senseless act frighten you. You're far more likely to die in a car accident or numerous other ways that a mass killing.

These things have been happening for a long time, and not increasing in frequency. The media attention and hype over them, and the influence that has on public opinion has though.

Don't twist up your mind trying to figure out why these people do what they do, its impossible, and the media already does that far too much.

Seriously, i can't even watch 99% of the news coverage of these events, its all hyperbole, fearmongering, and baseless speculation. thank god for reason.com :thumb_up:.

Well off people have different stress's. I have noticed that my view on the world has changed in many ways based on the fact that I am not so stressed on being able to pay bills or afford certain things as much. BUT I still have stress's of a different manner.

I currently feel stuck, I can't just simply change jobs as I would receive a significant pay decrease starting somewhere else. I also cant move to far as that would increase drive time, increasing money spent on gas. I am also becoming extremely bored with my current occupation. I could goto school, but that would be a major financial shift, and my way of life would change drastically.

Anyways, whether your well off or not, this guy didnt just snap due to stress's IMO. I think he must have had some psychological issues, or something wrong. Maybe he was using bathsalts, or experimenting with research chemicals. Who knows.

Anyways my brother saw this movie and said it was AWESOME. I wont be seeing it in theatre, so I will have to wait. I also Loved the other batmans.

It is more common to hear of people who are at the poverty level dealing with issues with life than people who are working hard at achieving their goals. And looking at it from the bottom up rather than from the top down yeah it is quite shocking.

It is the general "idea" that life gets better along with financial stability and/or accomplishing goals. This is true with certain aspects but it does carry false ideologies.
