The Importance of Drinking Rather Than Smoking Cannabis

Migrated topic.
Decent article, but I don't like this Dr. William Courtney's disparaging attitude towards Cannabis's psychoactive effects:

you can heat Hemp, which you can’t do with other strains because the THC acid comes out and you end up with a psycho-toxic substance

Excuse me? THC is a medicine without peer, to characterize it as a 'psycho-toxic' substance is beyond absurd :!:

To quote medical cannabis patient Robert Anton Wilson,
"the high is part of the cure."

What I believe the article is saying is that when heated to smoke hemp becomes far more in-toxic-ating not that it is actually toxic but it would be impossible to consume enough actives in this way for the mentioned benefits as the plants phychoactive principles are increased when smoked.

For treating cancer juicing raw cannabis that contains non-psychoactive THC acid is far more medicinal than using converted THC in its psychoactive form. The reason behind this is that you can ingest like 50x the ammount of cannabinoids this way. The THC acid has the same medical effects on cancer cells as it's converted psychoactive form. It is the sheer ammount of cannabinoids a patient can intake with this method that makes it far more effective. If you tried to even get close to that sort of cannabinoid intake by smoking or eating active THC you would probly be unconscious for a good long while.

that makes sense to me. it may be true that juiced raw buds are even more effective in this regard. it certainly sounds like a divine ichor to me. however apparently many people have cured terminal cancers & other diseases with heated, psychoactive oil. hash oil will do the trick !

& i still think calling the effects of THC 'psycho-toxic' is really unsophisticated. of course people who just don't have the constitution for being stoned should have curative options. but there is also the mindset of those who want to engineer a non-psychoactive form of ibogaine to cure addiction. it misses the point.
genetically modified cannabis is already a reality...

maybe i get defensive around this subject as Big Mama G is a primary ally of mine & i find it obnoxious how these so-called cannabis experts dismiss her effect on consciousness.

nonetheless thanks for the article, it's thought provoking & i would only hope to encourage discussion on the subject :)

i never really thought about it like that

reduce the psychoactive effects to increase dosage, makes sense :)

one can always ingest thc in an intoxicating fashion in conjunction with thier nug juice

indeed, i have found it actually potentiates vaporized thc.

perhaps the other cannibinoids are not psychoactive on their own, but affect your cannibinoid receptors to the point where it would affect psychoactivity?

i dont know why, tbh. but it is quite noticeable to me and everyone else i know who has tried it.

but ever since watching that power of raw cannabis video on youtube, i have been trying to juice regularly.
