The *Official* YouTube / DMT Discussion Thread

Migrated topic.
yeah I must say I think its all about how one presents the information.. knowledgestick had it completely wrong, while you, clouds, present everything much more prudently, with good selection of videos as well as a website that has good information (like safety stuff and so on). I have no problem with your youtube channel, wish the kids that post stupid videos would take your approach to how to post videos .

personally I still dont think youtube is the best medium but if its to use it, then better use it properly as you are trying to do.

Clouds, I had no idea. I searched for the username on the nexus and didn't find it, so I jsut assumed it was some random guy. I didn't mean to give you any grief and would have gladly approached you here first if I had known. I'm sorry. I really liked your website though. I think it's awesome and I love the fact that it's in spanish. Being a typical arrogant american, I frequently forget that there is probably a shortage of dmt information that is not in english.

Again, I'm sorry if I caused you any grief, I tried to be polite and now finding out it was you puts me much more at ease. I'm really glad that you are spreading so much information out beyond the Nexus.

peace
SB

Thanks for the compliments guys. I have to admit I expected a whole different reaction, and when I saw that some people like my channel I was surprised.
I have tried to be very selective about the videos I add Spanish subtitles to. I'm very glad that you think that there is some valuable information there.

I have to say that at first I thought that some people here just wanted to flag DMT videos because they thought that 'Youtubers' were stupid and unworthy of even trying to extract DMT. And since I am a Youtuber (who does not have facebook, twitter or myspace btw) I felt somehow a little saddened about that, I guess I was starting to think that all this problem was about 'Youtubers' in general and not about 'irresponsible DMT videos'. I was wrong. Flagging 'irresponsible DMT videos' IS about protecting the community and the plants so more people have access to them, and not about trying to keep DMT underground for selfish and egocentric reasons. If some people (like myself) want to raise awareness, we should be careful and respect the decisions of a community that is dedicated to the exploration and research of the substance. It's not authoritarianism or elitism, it's democracy and universalism. And exposing the DMT Nexus forum behind Joe Rogan's video is, as Pandora and Entropymancer say, not even necessary. If someone is meant to find the Nexus, it is already too damn easy. Keeping that link behind the video response would only cause more harm than benefit. I now realize that.

I apologize for doing that and I thank you for helping me see that 'the community' should work together in a friendly and respectful manner if we intend to make this whole situation a better one for all, including new people and veteran ones. Thank you steveowitz for bringing this up.

Safety and Respect.

I think you have a really positive attitude and philosophy - I guess the youtube vids that piss everyone off are those stupid 'trippinballz' things which are just wrong on so many levels. but you're sharing really intriguing, interesting material, and presenting it well; material that explores the nature of the experience with maturity.

So well done, man - after the big debate with knowledgestick, I think you may have found a solution to the thorny issue of youtube. And it's probably the same thing that makes the nexus different from other forums - a sense of respect, responsibility, and openess.

So hats off to you, my friend. Namaste!

Ban aspertame, teflon, sucralose, inorganic farming, gov laced tobacco and flouride if youre so damn worried about changes to the brains of todays youth.

I couldn't agree more Fractal.

I went through all of these links that are still up and thumbed down and flagged them.
But Joe Rogan and Doug Stanhope? C'mon. I think that's being over zealous.
I think the Joe Rogan video has a lot of information for a few minutes.
and I think Stanhope's a great comedian, I don't have anything against that video.
I hope nobodies flagging Mckenna or anything like that.
2 of my favorite youtube channels have been suspended and I'm wondering if it has to do with this thread.
Also guys, please don't flag the user DMTripcom.
He means well and is trying to spread information.
I agree he should of thought more before posting a video on how to make aya.
But his old account, which got locked, used to have 100s of videos that I learned so much lot from.
I've been avidly enjoying this guys uploads for like 2 years.
I think yous should focus on the videos people take while tripping or smoking salvia or dmt.
Kill the stupid shit and leave the informational/good message videos.

I found this kind of interesting:
A thread on the aya forum about some alleged scientists using youtube to study the effects of salvia...

Wow thats propably one of the most stupid ideas ever, but it shows how damaging youtube can be.
Can be, not must be. In the end its the stupidity of kids smoking it because of their adolescent behaviour.

Every single person I have introduced to DMT has learned about it from Joe Rogan. I have to spend damn near two hours with EACH PERSON, unlearning what that fuckhead has said and reteaching them before I even let them try DMT. Fuck Joe Rogan; he is abusing his position of voice. He should be using his ability to capture an audience and actually TEACH THEM SOMETHING, not have them take his word as gospel.

Flag this. It's neurosoup. Let's just take a moment and flag as many of her videos as possible, then we'll get to the others.

This one's for b:

Dude, get some objectivity. Neurosoup is cool.

I'm sorry, charging people .99$ to download HD videos of her talking monotonously about drugs in front of some silly fractals?
No thanks!

Are all means of making money bad? Why shouldn't she seek some remuneration for the effort that she puts in? Once again, gain some objectivity. You don't have to download anything from her channel or site.

Why should someone get paid for telling youtube users where to buy bark to extract DMT?

Don't flag if you don't want to.

This site makes money off advertising and telling people where to buy bark and extract DMT.

It's the intention that counts and the level of responsibility that goes with it, we are all guilty of the same thing, just we try to set a good example of how to maintain the correct attitude, which I believe she does.
