The Psychedelic Society

Something that caught my eye, maybe you'll find it interesting:

The Psychedelic Society

We run events and retreats for deeper connection to ourselves, each other, our living planet and to the mystery of existence.

www.psychedelicsociety.org.uk

The Psychedelic Society brings together people fascinated by and appreciative of psychedelic substances: from baristas to barristers, doctors to designers.

We hold regular events designed to foster discussion and community amongst psychonauts.

We are committed to being as inclusive as possible, welcoming people of all ages, genders, ethnicities and sexual orientations and taking positive steps to encourage a diverse range of voices at our events.

The Society does not engage in illegal activities during any of its events. Don't get involved to buy or sell illegal substances.

There will be a launch event - Monday 3rd November 2014, Conway Hall, London

Professor David Nutt will be there.

Looks interesting! Though I find the Silk Road tutorial a bit .. dubious (doesn't belong there, does it?)

It is funny that it seems out of place. Reading it is like:

1. Psychedelic research and medical progress
2. Visionary art and historical connections to psychedelics
3. How to break the law without getting caught

Unfortunately in this day and age, learning how to break the law without getting caught is an imperative skill for us psychedelic aficionados. :?

Yeah, but we should still pretend to be respectable. Researchers in particular may be dissuaded from associating with an organization that supports recreational drug use (as opposed to medical drug use) as it might make it harder for them to obtain funding.
