Does anybody know if it is published, what doses Rick Strassman administered to his volunteers during his DMT research project? I've only watched the documentary and some extended interviews with the volunteers.
I'm very interested in what these "high doses" translate to which they speak of.

0.4mg/kg was settled on as the optimum dosage.

I didn't read the book yet, but listened to a radio interview, there he said the higher dosage was set 0.4mg/kg IV, probably the fumarate salt.

Is DMT salt a lot weaker than freebase then? Cos that formula adds up to quite a lot compared to a freebase dose.

Michal_R - I don't understand your question. Of course it's DMT, it's DMT research being discussed on a DMT forum and the question specifies DMT lol. I don't see your angle here.

cyb and iracema, thank you for your answers they were very helpful. I'll definitely give it a read, I want more in depth information and opinion and I'm going to guess that is the way to go about it.

Does anybody here know much about freebase vs salt?

That dose works out for me at about 33mg, now I'm assuming that there is some difference in strength between the two and also when smoked, some is surely going to get lost. With an intravenous administration nothing is lost and it all goes straight to the brain. I imagine it to be an experience beyond my wildest imagination and I've seen some crazy stuff over this last month since my introduction to the molecule.
Listening to Patricio Dominguez talk about his high dose experience at length is very interesting, if you haven't already heard this account in its fullest then I suggest you give it a watch on youtube.

Have a read of this thread.

I would not recommend IV ROA unless you are in a clinical setting with extremely clean untensils etc. and a very competent sitter available.
The risk of infection is high and anything but lab grade product is asking for problems.

Please be careful and safe and read the book...

Actually the higher dose they tried was 0.6 mg/Kg on the first two volonteers, Philip and Nils.

From the book:
"Was what Nils and Philip saw so
bizarre, so incomprehensible, so utterly aberrant that their minds simply
turned off to spare them from seeing clearly what was there? Maybe it was
better to forget.
In either case, whether too much drug or too much experience, what-
ever 0.6 mg/kg IV DMT did to these two seasoned psychedelic veterans,
it came down to just this: "too much." As Philip said later,
It was a cosmic blowtorch, a tempest of color, bewildering, like I was
thrown overboard into a storm and was spinning out of control, being tossed
like a cork."
