Third attempt, new technique, any tips?

Hi all,

So, after a couple of discussions with people here, I decided to upgrade from my waterfalls to something with a little more teeth:

Not quite a GVG, but it'll do in a pinch :thumb_up:

I also picked myself up something more rigorous in the flame department:

So, the question is this. What's the best technique to go for here? I've got some very nice pollen, some gauzes, and some tobacco I bought for the weekend (I have some very psychedelic plans with my best mate in the diary, and can't be doing with the horror of my e-cigarette running out or anything complicated when it comes to enjoying said pollen under the influence.

What do you reckon, gauze, layer of pollen, DMT, layer of pollen, and then heat with the torch at a distance where it doesn't ignite? Or should I be making a last minute trip to get something else to stick in the bong with the DMT? Any other pro tips? Thanks!

*Just for info - this will be my third dabble with DMT, same for the bud.

if you cant infuse (which i think is the best thing for a bong) i would sandwich with an enert herb, parsley or something like that, then just kiss the top layer of the sandwich with a normal bic lighter and puff tuff.

That bong looks sweeeeet:thumb_up: I guarantee it will do the buisness and then some.

id keep the weed seperate.

Haha, yeah it does! After toying with the guy in the store, he said "You aren't using tobacco are you?" and I said no, so he went "And by the sounds of what you are after, you aren't smoking weed either", to which I agreed. He then asked what I was looking to actually use it for, I told him, and he said "I've got two things that should work". One was this pretty sweet lightbulb vaporiser, but without all that yummy lightbulb goodness. But then he put this thing down next to it. The punk knew it was a done deal as soon as he put it on the counter, the rapscallion.

Have you got a good thread for advice on infusing? Having a rummage now, but a link would be handy.

Oh, and I've got some flat leaf parsley in the cupboard (I'm a fiend for parsley, I have no explanation why). That do the trick?

I'm not sure about pro tips here, but when i used my bong i put a few screens in the bottom, then a thick layer of ashes (if you burn some paper you'll have plenty of ashes, don't worry about it being carcinogenic, you've burnt the paper, so it's just ashes now, the carcinogenic effects are gone and the taste is neutral).

Then a layer of DMT, then again a layer of ashes, a thick one, i put a screen on top of it.
But be careful not to burn your DMT or your throat will be soar and your lips numb, it ruins the whole experience, because you'll probably cough your lungs out.

Just try to keep the flame as far away as you can, but still be sure the bong fills up with a thick white cloud.

Cool, that sounds like it might be worth a shake. Definitely got the screens for it! As for the heat, it doesn't need to get all that hot, does it? Thinking distance of about 15cms from bowl to torch, does that sound about right?

I used a regular bic lighter, i'm not sure about a torch lighter though, but i used to draw the flame way in the bowl and this tends to burn the DMT of course, i usually did this because i was afraid i evaporated my DMT before it got in the bong, now thinking back on it, this was probably not the case at all, just test a little, but don't draw the flame in the bowl.

Just take notice of the bong, if it fills up and you haven't touched the ashes with the flame you're definitely good to go, now i've started to know my VG a little better i know just heat is enough, no need to overheat it.

Imho the bong is the most powerful way to smoke DMT, lightbulb method sucked for me, and the VG is still tricky.This is personal of course.

Yeah, I'm definitely a one big hit kind of guy. Both goes with DMT so far have been using a modified waterfall technique, which gives you it in one big chug. My mate who's joining me has so far smoked it in a chasing the dragon style, so this should be a pleasant surprise for him!

Are you talking about the method where you take a plastic bottle, cut off the bottom, put thin foil around it, with DMT in the middle and then just heat the foil, or did you just fold foil and inhale the fumes with a straw?

Neither, more a hand held gravity bong I use for weed with a few modifications. To save myself a long winded explanation, here's a paint job I did earlier...

Thinking about it now, actually, I could do the same sort of thing of putting foil over the top of the bowl with just a small hole so just hot air passes through the pipe - that might work!

Yes, i saw someone saying the same thing, he covered up the bowl with thin foil and heated it that way, preventing the flame from touching the DMT.

Your method works almost the same as cutting off the bottom and wrapping thin foil around it and heating the bottom, only you don't have the gravity bong effect, i might try your method though.Never seen that before.

It's a great one for weed, at the very least. Also tends to be really smooth, and with the smoke, once you take the foil off, you have a little water left in the bottom, so you can close off all the holes and shake it around to get the smoke nice and cool.

Couple of pointers: shape the foil to purpose before loading as you'll have your hands full when you go. Shape the underneath one first so you've got a nice pocket inside the neck, pinprick the holes in, fit the gauze. Then take that out, stick it to one side, and fit the top layer of foil, and add a small hole. Then put your spice in the gauze, fill that bottle up to the neck, fit the foil over the top (you may want to try this with weed/tobacco first just to get the hang of it), light, and slowly let the water out. Once drained, remove the foil, move to a comfy spot away from the sink, and suck in the goodness :thumb_up:

3rdI pointed out that you might get some plastic fumes off it, so be sure not to heat up the plastic underneath the foil. Best go with a bottle with a big neck (lucozade is my bottle of choice, or those innocent juice bottles).

Yo shanghigher, I would reccomend ash man. Just set aside a clean tub, smoke a couple of joints worth of ash into it. I then stick 3 screens/gauzes into the bong bowl, a wee bit of ash from the tub, stick the spice down, cover the rest up with ash and use torch lighter aimed at the bowl (im using arc turboflame) from far away, getting closer as you milk up. not too close mind. One shot out of that beast should do it, its a fair bit bigger than mine.

Doesnt taste ashy or anything, just tastes of dmt. Which for some really strange reason, im starting to like?...

(honest truth here - only sharing this because im a little bit drunk, but in the morning today before i left the flat to go to work. i went into the spare room, and smelled the bong that ive been using. just to smell it. before i went on my day. is that heavy fucked up?)

I feel there could be a little wastage from using ash. I did it alot with weed ash 30+ times. I ended up with a little jar of lavarock like substance I loaded up a bowl full of it and got a Galactic cycle wash / boarder line hyperslap.

So a large % of Spice must have been wasted; initially.

It was when I switched to the liquid oil screen pad for the volcano that I didn't need it anymore. that or more screens 4+

once you have infused your Magic set up your reality dissolver like a normal bong,
fill it with infused herb/Changa,
top this with a little inert herb to double protect the infused magic,
kiss the top of the pile of herbs with a lighter then let the cherry do the buisness,
i prefer to move the cherry around with the lighter tip to spread the ember as opposed to adding more flame.

now go forth and Puff Tuff:thumb_up:

I think I'll roll with the ash approach this time around, and maybe go for changa once I've got my hands on a little more spice.

And Japansage, that's perfectly normal. I had to give my waterfall bong a sniff the following day too - just to be sure it actually smelt like that.

We went with an appetiser last night to break in the bong, and did .02 with good success. Among other things, I thought "dynamite" would be a good slang term for DMT.

Today, we're going with a bigger dose to start an acid trip.

Yeah, for the bong just sandwich the DMT between two herbs, light the top later, pull slowly filling the bong. 1 or maybe 2 hit. Hold each hit 15+.


And, look into making enhanced leaf or changa (if you can get the harmalas). Heres a great thread from wayy back when:
