This may be a silly question... (enhanced leaf)

So SWIM has some peppermint tea lying about, and he was wondering if this would be suitable for his first enhanced leaf infusion? If not he'll just get some bits online...

Cheers!

I love synchronicity! I too am staring at a bag of peppermint tea wondering the same thing . . . However I am about to make a blend with regular caapi foliage and passion flower. I was thinking of adding peppermint to make the smoke smoother.

He he hopefully a wise Nexian comes along and graces us with their opinion soon then eh?

I went ahead and made the mix. It will be tested tonight (1g caapi leaf, 1g passion flower, .5g peppermint, 2g DMT).

If your adding passion flower to caapi leaf it's a little redundant.
Caapi leaf is your base. Everything else is for taste or esoteric properties. Few additives will even Alter the effects outside of say more esoteric properties, and mental associations.
So caapi 1gm peppermint sprinkled in there for taste .5gm 1.5gm spice.... Maybe some dry rose petals crushed and sprinkled in there for color. Nice...

He tried smoking some of the tea (pure peppermint) and it was pretty nice, so decided to go right ahead and infuse :d

im sure it did work like a charm, that's not my point though. The caapi leaf has harmalas in it. So does the passion flower. Theres no real need to double up on harmala containing plants. Like mixing rue with caapi. Unless there is a very specific intention your exploring. It would be better to smoke by weight just the caapi, because it's stronger and tts the job done. Wih passion flower your better off probably salting out the alks.

I tried a caapi only changa for my first batch. It was nice, to be sure. I mixed the passion flower and caapi for my second batch, and it was nice. Though I couldn't tell any difference between the two, save that with the passion flower added I found it easier to smoke (not forgetting the peppermint additive). However, this being only my second time with changa (having tried just about ever other method to imbibe DMT), I'm just experimenting, trying to find the perfect mix. I also mixed a marijuana enhanced leaf but only smoked some on the tail end of last nights journey with changa to wind down (ended up purging, good thing I bucket near the copper pyramid I sleep in just in case!).

Next batch I think will be caapi only with additives to smooth it out. I don't think I'll mix any more MJ with DMT, something about it just doesn't feel right, though I may mix a batch to introduce new people to the molecule.

One thing's for sure: I've definitely found a new preferred way to accelerate my evolution: CHANGA CHANGA CHANGA! Can't wait to add changa to pharma!

Have you tried the 10x leaf? It's pretty amazing.'or even vine enhanced caapi leaf, or vine enhanced chalipoonga ; )

10x is certainly in my future, however I don't have enough leaf yet. I'll probably wind up trying vine shavings as well, even though that sounds like some harsh smoke. Chalipoonga is also a must try. So many options!

Would caapi leaf be nicer to smoke than the vine? I'm guessing they would have the same affect but the leaf would be smoother?

Edit: Nevermind! I found this link in another thread Changa and it answered my question :)

The leaves of B. Caapi have different quantities of harmine and tetrahydroharmine then what is present in the vine. People debate on the ratios of the vine and leave alkaloids, however the fact remains that the majority of bio-assays by individuals who smoke the leaf report that the leaf provides a much clearer, less mentally fogging and intoxicating experience then the tea. The addition of vine reported can assist in the strengthening of the over all effects, as well as duration, but the addition of vine to the blend can create more of a stoning effect.

Sorted :)

That's right. One can infuse caapi vine ethanol extract onto any smoking medium as well. One can also do this with rue but the effects can be slightly disorienting and very strong from rue seeds. One does not need to smoke shredded vine to smoke the vine. Vine is easier to acquire then leaf and one advantage of leaf is that it has high amounts of harmalas and can prolong the session with greater ease then leaf, but it is more stoning due to the harmaline.
