Thought I had broken through... but, the strangest thing happened.

So I'm just a little curious about my last trip... I'm not that new to DMT, but still have trouble understanding the experience sometimes. But on my last trip I had unexpectedly blasted off harder than I ever had in the past. Fractal entities were fully immersed in my world. They weren't just visuals, but seemed fully intelligent and aware of everything I was going through. They pulled pranks on me by showing me the impossible and laughing at my reactions. At this point I was thinking "Ah cool, looks like I hit a solid breakthrough!" There wasn't a doubt in my mind that I was there. But, then one of the entities came forward and pointed at my pipe and urged me to smoke more because he wanted to show me something :shock: I didn't because I was kind of in shock. Is there supposed to be something further than that??? Or was my mind just goofing me into thinking it was possible to go further? I thought entities were the "breakthrough" but they told me to go further.

Such a strange drug :roll: Oh I love you deems. Always full of surprises.

As far as that land can take me So what happens as you go further? Does the nature of the experience change even more? Or does it just continue to get more vivid until you black out?

Does what I described sound like a breakthrough to you? Or am I just missing the mark.

I'll put it this way even though I cant really describe it.

I've done aya, pharma, and smoked since beginning 09. Mainly smoked changa 1-2 times a month. Each time it's been vastly different.

3-4 months back I had an experience that WAS NOTHING like dmt..i nany way, shape or form. During the 15 minutes or so I went literally through hundredS of BRIGHT flashes of different scenes; layers if you will. EAch "layer" was a scene unto itself...literal flashes of people, places, things...not fractal entities or anything like that. The visions were almost too much..too blinding. INCREDIBLY BRILLIANT light. The experience hit me FULL ON within 4-5 seconds...like 1-2 second I was here in the physical...then in 4-5 seconds..I was COMPLETELY there....instantaneous. There was virtually no build up in effects. IT's the only time I experienced something like this on the spice.

I took 80 or so mg changa (so about 40mg dmt) in one big inhalation and held it indefinitely. I cashed the whole bong. There was music playing on my computer beforehand. After I was there...the music was COMPLETELY gone. I did not hear ANY music. And mind you..the music was turned up pretty loudly.

I could go on...but I'll end in saying...the constant thought during the whole thing was " THIS IS YOU..ALL THESE PEOPLE, SCENES, PLACES...THEYRE YOU....INFINITE...FOREVER"

If you were coherent enough to look at your pipe when the entity told you to, you should have hit it again like the entity suggested. Unless ofcourse you already cleared the bowl. In that case it would be a good idea to have a backup booster bowl Pre loaded with something like 15mg for when this happens.. I would have hit it.

A friend of mine had this experience (as far as I can tell) from Pharmahuasca which was also his first truly psychedelic experience.

The panorama of experience possible is unimaginably vast; I have been convinced that the drug I was smoking was NOT DMT at all... only to find the same material giving me entirely classic DMT effects the next week. I don't know what the mechanism for that would be, I'm not sure anyone does.

I don't know where you would have gone had you hit that again, but rest assured it could have been totally amazing. Or potentially awful- like we've been discussing, there are a vast number of potentials.

If you smoke too much you black most of it out, at least I know alot of people do.
But if I were in hyperspace and entities told me to take another hit, I'd definitely listen to them.

Of course you are not me (though in a way I believe you are) and it would be up to you to decide if you could handle going further or not.

Honestly I had completely forgotten it was there. I don't remember if it was visible. He/she just pointed downwards and said to do more and I was like "woahh! I forgot I had taken anything." I may up the dose next time just for the sake of finding out how deep the rabbit hole goes I thought 50mg was enough to be "there" but now I'm curious as to where "there" is compared to where it could be

very interesting. something similar happened last week - not to me, but the girl i was with.

this was her second time smoking with me, and both times i was very careful to NOT send her to hyperspace. two weeks ago was her first experience with hallucinogenics of any kind, so i just wanted to show her the door - not have her step through it and possibly have a bad experience. i think some of us experienced travelers forget what it was like the very first time using hallucinogens that aren't as transformative as dmt - going to the edge, but still in this reality. intense but not insane. profound but not otherworldly. but i digress.

prior to her hit, i encouraged her to take it deeply into her lungs this time - the weekend before she took a very shallow pull. and she did. one nice hit which she held in for several seconds. her eyes closed, and off she went. smiling and giggling, i knew she was having a good time, but i didn't know how deep she was.

a few minutes into her journey, her eyes opened, she looked at me, and said, "they told me to do more." i very quickly added a bit more to her unfinished bowl and she took another rip. she leaned back, closed her eyes again, smiled, and occasionally uttered words like, "what?" "no way." (laughter) "huh?" ect. lots of smiling and laughter - which put a huge smile on my face as i watched her.

her trip ends and she's back. the nut-nut of her experience, as she told me, was that of beautiful entities asking her to sell her soul to them. non threatening. positive. joyous actually. and she declined. she kept her soul and all was good in the universe.

sorry for the long post. but yes, my gal had a similar experience - the "entities" encouraged her to do more. and then they took her by the hand, opened the door, and walked her thru it. she, and i, are forever grateful they did.

As far as going further: there's no doubt about it, you certainly could have. The possibilities are truly infinite (But tread carefully!) Based on my own experience (many others can attest to this as well), one tends to go deeper and deeper with each successive breakthrough. I regard the mischievous little machine-elve-like entities you described as the greeters of hyperspace.

I don't know if I'd say you're supposed to go past them - but you certainly could. It's seems possible to hone the ability to project one's mind, and thus to gain some mobility in "hyperspace". I've attached a very interesting article, written by a D.M. Turner, who discusses doing just this (go to "Entity Contacts: Exploring Hyperspace" on page 183). This is one of the most fascinating accounts I have ever read about the DMT experience. I was going to attempt what the author describes therein - but then I had a hellish experience, and out of fear I haven't imbibed enough spice to attain breakthrough since (two months ago; I'm still kind of a newbie...). Anyway, this article seems to contain precisely the kind of information you are seeking.

There are several threads on the nexus that discuss the phenomenon of the "breakthrough", so I'll also advise you to check those out. I think most of those who have experienced a breakthrough will say that it is a category of DMT experiences like no other, that there is a distinct line that is crossed, and that one will know without a shred of doubt that such a breakthrough has occurred. Phenomenologically, it is apparently an immersive, hyper-real perception of a wholly distinct, multidimensional reality, populated by a myriad of intelligent, purposive inhabitants. One has little to no awareness of his/her body and consensus reality environment once he/she has achieved a breakthrough.

I just want to state that from personal experience one can CERTAINLY go to far.

I have taken hits and essentially flown right by hyperspace into a white-out like experience...not of the Godhead sort. More like being trapped in a 2D white box for what seemed like years. It was not pleasant at all. 5 minuted into the experience wen I finally gained some sort of control back I sat up in bed grasping for air like I was drowning...at which point I realized that I was literally still tripping harder than I ever had before.

The thing with DMT is that it's only partially dose dependent. You gotta get enough in you to push the experience forward, but for me at least there seems to be a headspace that once you are familiar with you can more easily slide into on lower doses.

My advise is to learn to use as little as possible.

Yeah I do. It works beautifully. You have to make a copper screen mesh out of choreboys scrubber though. Or, as someone posted in another thread, I think they make titanium screens with smaller holes.

Think im going to get one of these, im going to the dam soon so will see if i can track one down. I don't think you can get choreboy in the uk, all i can find is steel wool. Is it safe to use steel wool.:surprised

Yup, its totally safe to use steel wool, as long as it is as coarse as you can find. The coarser the better, to avoid it igniting when you heat it. Make sure you burn the heck out of it first, to burn off any unwanted chemicals and such that could be on it After doing that, it is completely safe to use.

One of the benefits of Choreboy or some other copper scrubbing pads is that the cross section of the copper pad is NOT circular.

It is ribbon style. Therefore, if you were to look at a cross section of the copper, you would see a rectangular shape.

The flat parts of the ribbon, allow the melted freebase to flow along the flat portions, whereas using something with a circular cross section would allow the freebase to drip thru easier.

Worth looking at hardware stores and home improvement stores. They are sold in the US as copper dishware/pot and pan scrubbers.

I would not recommend steel wool. I mean it may work since you're not actually torching it but we used to light that stuff on fire with 9volt batteries in boyscouts. There are some titanium or stainless steel pads you can get specifically made for things like this. I saw it somewhere on this site but i can't remember where. Maybe the DMT smoking section?
