time to try a MHRB extraction..suggestions?

Hey yall hows it going? hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far. Had a quick question for yall!

my friend recently acquired 500g of MHRB and was curious as to what the best way was to go around extracting it? They have had great success doing an A/B tek with ACRB a handful of times. Can they perform the same tek?

Ive read that STB teks are preferred when working with MHRB..is this really the case? what do you guys recommend from personal experience and good yields?

Keep in mind this wont be their first extraction. only their first with MHRB. they full accessibility to glass equipment and separatory funnels.

I do a A/B hybrid salt extraction for acacia confusa. With mimosa hostilis I do a S/B freeze precipitation with 1 re-x.

1.1500 ml of water with 100 gram of mimosa hostilis
2.100 gram of lye
3.50 ml of naphtha for each pull
5.freeze precipitation
4.i like to pull around 9 times
5.fan dry
6.re-x all the dmt with naphtha
7.freeze precipitation
8.fan dry
9. pure nn dmt

thank you for the quick response! can the amounts youve provided be multiplied in equal parts? say by 5? 7500ml of water 500g MHRB 500g lye etc...?

I'm thinking that it can but if I was you I would do 100 grams at a time. Its your first time using the bark and things can always go wrong. You don't have to do a re-x but I'm a perfectionist I get a deep satisfaction knowing that my dmt is about as good as it gets. By good I mean pure, Best of luck.

No. Scaling up a procedure changes the dynamics. For example, how will you effectively shake over 8.5 kilos of extraction materials, plus the weight of the container? Not only is it a lot harder to mix the layers by shaking, the potential for disaster due to mishaps is disproportionally higher, as is the size of disaster when it happens.

Please stay with the tried and true numbers given in the published teks.

What i do
Mix lye to water
Let reaction cool.
Powerize bark and add to lye/water mixture
Shake like hell(I know you are not supposed to do that but if you have time you can let the foam settle.)
After foam has settled add your choice of solvent. Xylene,Toulene,Hexane,Naphta(Hexane is best for cleaner crystals. Note you cannot freeze precipitae with Xylene or Toulene)
Slightly flip jar upside down and all around gently mixing with the lye/water/bark.
Let stand for an hour to get most of the dmt disolved in solvent.
