Would there be any benefit to having harmala alks in tincture form as opposed to powdered form. I noticed some vendors have started offering their harmalas in tincture form. Does a tincture store better? Or is it just convenience (not having to weigh out milligrams)

It is theorized that alcohol breaks download Harmaline into Harmala Red, a possibly non-active compound.
It is also said to break down harmaline into harmine, undesirable for some.
Tinctures work but why risk it for storage?

It's only harmaline that degrades to harmala red. Harmaline's pretty nasty stuff compared to the other two so I'm not too worried about losing it. I'm not even sure if harmala red is inactive.
So if you see a caapi tincture with THH and Harmine in alcohol, the product should be fine. I'm not sure if it has any difference other than convenience though.

Yeah it's quite common.

I powder the caapi, mix in some sodium carbonate to freebase and a bit of water and leave it for a few hours and then soak it in iso for about a day or 2..
I wonder if there is any noticeable difference on a between a full spectrum alcohol caapi extract or acid/base/filter extract.

SWIM's friend has a harmaline tincture he got in the mail last Friday. It’s pure harmaline. There's no alcohol in it. It's preserved with acetic acid instead of alcohol, so it would not degrade the harmaline at all. Whoever made it obviously knows what they’re doing.
SWIM has not tried it, but his friend says it works very well sublingually, and because there's no alcohol it doesn't burn.
I like the idea of a tincture. Maybe SWIM will get one and try it out. SWIM doesn't like harmaline much though, so he's not interested in trying his friend's tincture.
In some cases, alkaloids in liquid form work better sublingually than powder does.
These tinctures sound nasty...

SWIM and you are totally the opposite in this respect. The vine tastes horrible. Pure THH HCl in a cup of coffee tastes MUCH BETTER. That's how SWIM does it. Sometimes he uses juice instead. It's much better tasting than a brew of vine...oh God what a horrible nasty brew to swallow.
