Too much volume in my base soup, what to do now?

Migrated topic.

It's not what we do, it's how we do it.
My bottle is a little too full to add solvent for pulls... what should I do?
I think if I transfer some out, I will have to do all the remaining steps twice :thumb_dow
It's in a warm bath, but it's a thin-neck bottle, so I don't think any is going to evap anytime soon.

It settled down... when I added the lye, it basically foamed and increased in volume. But it slowly settled and lost some volume.

Good to hear.

Next time maybe you can transfer the basic soup into a wider necked receptacle (e.g. a beaker) and evaporate the excess water in a double boiler setup. I imagine the smell wouldn't be nice though.

Do you like to cook something new? I love very much. Therefore, I will recommend your favorite recipe for soup.
