TooL Concert in Seattle Last Night (2010)

Migrated topic.

Ice House

OG Pioneer
Amazing! SWIM ate a hit of some very fine LSD At about 730 pm Opening band came on at 8, TooL came on at 9 and I was out of my mind. I have had many heavy voyages that didnt need to have the integration time that this experience is going to take.

Sooo Heavy, So refined, percect at any moment in time.

Tool. .. . .. a paralelle universe. A subdivision of hyperspace.

They played soo much old stuff. Stuff I was listening to in the early-mid 90s.

The special effects were just out of this realm.

Pure RAGE!

My hats off to the best LIVE act in music hands down.

Me and my girl went to the opening show in New Orleans and were blown away...Opened with Third Eye and everyone went wild!
Truly an experience that everyone should have...Long live Maynard! PS...My new icon is from Riverwalk in NO!

man i wish i could have gone to one of their shows this year! soo jealous :p

good for you though man!

i'll never forget that show in toronto last year. wow..mindblowing experience

^^ this guy got some great close ups

Eep jealous! Sounds amazing =)

I never got into tool not nearly as much as APC, but they still have a lot of songs I really enjoy- especially those from the lateralus album (which funnily enough I was just listening to when I came across this thread : o )

I was in soo deep with the LSD I had on board I was sure that I could have walked through the arena on the laser light and effects that were projected out to the audience. This was the most intense, most unusal voyage I have ever had. Very unique.

Set and Setting

Holy mcow I was there on fungai! Pretty intense, not a fan of big cities on psychedelia

See you in a few feeks in spokane! Pseudouasca this round.

I couldnt imagine ever being under the influence of anything during any concert, let alone Tool. I always get pretty annoyed when people are smoking weed near me at shows. I just want to listen to the music and take in the experience. The music is enough to really evoke some intense feelings.

But Im jealous you got to see them last night. I did not lol.

Get em while you can. These guys are getting in their 50's! Almost forgot that makes me older.

There are old trippers, there are bold trippers, but are there old bold trippers?

Oh wow I didnt even realize it was 2010 either haha I was like ...well thats odd I guess it was a random show. I wanna see them and Primus in Mexico so bad :(

For some reason I never saw that they were in Seattle!

I thought I would have to go to Portland. I was actually looking at tickets. Dang, I hope I get another chance to see them.

I'm glad to hear everyone who went had a great time!

Edit:

Oops, I admit, I didn't read all of the posts in this thread....I feel better now that I know they weren't just in Seattle!

I'm a lil bit bakey right now.

They are going on tour soon, and the nearest they are coming to where I live is Portland. I wish I could go, but I have no one to go with! Maybe I'll get another chance one day....

Where you at Mr.Peabody,I'm in PDX and occupying the same lonely boat!
:(

Seriously though, not trying to hook up on the board, I couldn't afford tix right now even if they were available !

Tool is definitely one of my fave bands from the 90's, and I've never had the opportunity to see them. One of those rare bands whose live experience has eluded ne.

Funny that this thread dragged itself out of the catacombs now, since they are coming here. I was a little thrown off, still teasing myself that this may be the time, and was like, "aww,.man, another one gone..."

Yeah, the price thing was the other issue for me... The good seats sold so freakin fast! Now they're 150 to 300+ for anything decent.

I'm a few hours north, so driving to Portland would be a bit lame all by myself. I just don't get why they are stopping in Spokane, Portland and NOT Seattle! Maybe booking issues I guess, but I'm sure Seattle would have pulled a bit more money then Spokane.

Gotta be a booking issue like you said. There's been several times with different bands this has happened to me,.it's always frustrating.

Man, I remember seeing bands like the freaking Dead with $15 ticket prices in the eighties or going to a smaller venue for basically pocket change, leaving plenty of funds left over for the chemical equilibration part, 😉 but that died a long time ago. I'm glad I do though, it allowed me to see a ton of some of the coolest shows ever. Now i I hardly ever get out, the last shows I saw were over six years ago,.SunnO))).& Boris, though not together.
