I tried to setup a hidden service and got stuck because I can't connect to my http server (savant) on local host through Tor.
This is the error Vidalia gives me:
Rejecting SOCKS request for anonymous connection to private address [scrubbed].
I guess Tor/Vidalia does this for security reasons ? The tutorials on the hidden service setups don't account for this error.
Tor does resolve the .onion address to localhost:.. but that's it. (Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at localhost) Also checked this from another computer and got a similar error.
Any help would be much appreciated
