Hi DMT Nexus people.

I am a psychonaut from north africa (excuse me for my english rudimentary)and i want to thank you for all your work here.wonderful !

I want to transform my san pedro in powder to an extraction by d-limonene. i saw some technics on youtube and the result is so little ! it's not too much.

is it possible to cut my san pedro in thin slice and let it dry in the sun,and after transform it in powder with a robot ?

is it possible ?

Cool looking specimen. I've never dried a live one before but you've got the right idea. I would cut the spines off and slice it into 1-inch thick stars and let them sun dry. Then you can chip it into smaller amounts and powderize it in a grinder. About 1% of the dry weight of the cactus is extractable mescaline. The D-limo tek works well.

I would recommend much thinner slices. When I dried a large batch of cuttings, I removed the spines and cut them into 1/8-1/4 inch (.318-.635 cm) slices. Even in a food dehydrator these took over a day to dry. If the slices are a full inch thick, they will take several days to dry completely.

Drying them in the sun will work just as well. I recommend then using a coffee grinder to powderize the fully-dried cactus slices.
