wow.
of all the mindless, slightly variated, USELESS stimulants available on the UK market...
they'd have to ban mxe - one of the best priced, most exciting, non-psychedelic substances available.
It's things like 'roflcopter' that make me cringe.
You want to talk about what's giving drugs a bad name...?
In my opinion, most drugs become prohibited once they've developed enough stigma.
At this point, (and I say this for most governments) the grip on control has become an impossibility, the protection of our youth is by the same degree.
It's chemicals like LSD that have always stayed scheduled because of they're association with a culture; it's stigmas.
Once a story goes public and someone dies and the autopsy reveals JWH or whatever it may be in they're system...
it's these kind of situations where a substance is stigmatized and a hightened awareness develops.
But as we all know, a few deaths are nowhere near enough reason to declare something dangerous. It's tragic yes, and raises an area of concern.
But the point im making is how it also raises alot of bias.
What people need to consider is when calling a substance roflcopter... your associating what is essientially, a kiddy and ultra-stupid name to a culture.
Yes, not all drug users are part of the same culture... but from an outsider's point of view (the legislators don't forgot) drugs are drugs.
Roofline for example, used by rapists and labeled the "date rape drug" by society. Did everyone us this drug to rape people? no.
So i mean, once stigma is attached to something, the awareness of it is heightened, the biases become more prevalent etc.
You can basically say goodbye to the chemical.
