Hey, I'm new to the forums and I figured I'd start my first post with a question. So, I've always been a big on psychedelics and have experimented with a lot of different substances. However, I've been researching DMT for quite some time now and really want to break through. I've done a pull of M. Hostilis quite a few times and have actually tried to breakthrough before. But it's like with LSD and Psilocybin I am always apprehensive before I drop whatever psychedelic compound I'm experimenting with. I've gone on very intense trips and I've never once regretted a trip, I've especially enjoyed my experiences with Aya. However, with DMT being the grandmother psychedelic of them all I always find my self overrun with anxiety and fear, and I'm not even sure what of. I've before swallowed this fear and smoked up to 50mg with a bit of Cannabis on top, but always find myself like "slightly tripping", and feeling like im on low-dose LSD for like 5mn. I'm sure it's because of my sketchiness when it comes to actually lighting the bowl. I've wasted at least a gram of DMT in the past, I've 50mg left. So I guess the question is, with all that I've experienced on hard-trips with Aya and LSD, obviously nothing could quite prepare me for DMT. But, because I've taken all those substances I couldn't induce an underlying psychological condition can I? I cant even believe I'm typing this, I've never been so respectful of a compound as I am DMT. The doses I've done on other psychedelics are almost a disrespect to the medicine itself.

Well, have your past experiences been relativily positive and have you integrated them accordingly?
Do you have any sort of psychological baggage or trauma from those experiences currently you feel?
You should be fine, especially if you've done aya like you say. Smoked DMT is quick, and over in about 15 minutes, give or take several minutes. The ramping up of effects can be unsettling for some.
I always find to meditate for about 15-20 minutes, open my eyes, light the pipe and go. Very minimal thought right after opening the eyes. Very clear headed. Helps trmendously, i feel.

I appreciate the information. Yes, almost all of my experiences on psychedelics have been positive. The only one I didn't like was a 2C-x OD, and even then I didn't regret the experience.

If you smoke 50mg and feel like you're slightly tripping on acid then you either need a new method or you're taking a drug that is blocking the effects IMO. Are you taking any SSRI's at the moment? I don't know what other drugs minimize the DMT experience but that group is well known for it.
If you're not then you might need a rethink on your vaping method.
I personally wouldn't take DMT with any other drug apart from other psychedelics. I smoke weed daily (well I did before DMT) and when I got my first try of it I made sure I did it completely sober, hadn't smoked weed all day.
I personally don't want to try it this way (the sandwich method or any method which involves smoking weed with it) I say DMT is great just on its own. But that's just me. I'm yet to try DMT whilst on other psych's.
If you're smoking it with weed on top then I guess you don't use a machine...make a machine if you want to breakthrough easily. I made one the day I got DMT and tried it that night. I never want to try another method as this works perfectly. I'll probably end up getting a GVG when I have the cash because it doesn't look quite a "crackish" as my machine does.
But what I'm saying is if you want to breakthrough easily without much effort, make a machine, use wire wool (not the fine cuz that sets on fire) I use a metal scourer, I could do with going a little finer but it still does a great job. You also want some gauze.
What I do is spread out the bit of wire wool (or scourer in my case) and put a gauze/pipe screen on top, measure out 35mg/50mg and tip it onto the gauze. Hold a lighter flame above the DMT and it will melt and pool into the gauze and wire wool. I then fold the gauze into the wool and push it slightly inside the neck of the bottle (wait a few seconds for the metal to cool). I sit upright and hold the flame about an inch or two beneath the neck of the bottle (my machine has a straw/pipe at a 90 degree angle so the neck of the bottle is facing exactly down, some people just have a hole in the bottom of the bottle and use the machine with the neck facing away from them and suck the heat from the flame in vertically).
Test to see if the vapour is coming out with little puffs like on a gentleman's pipe, it should do with a freshly loaded machine because of the way the heat is conducted around the metal that surrounds the DMT. If not then just move the lighter slightly around until you see it starting to pour off, you found the sweet spot. Don't put the flame of the lighter up into the neck of the bottle though because this will burn your DMT and it will be very hard to inhale, properly vapourised, good quality white DMT is surprisingly easy to inhale but if it's been subjected to too high a temperature then it's like inhaling razors.
Now it gets easy, you've found the sweet spot and the vapour is pouring in, take as much as you can, hold it for a good ten seconds then hold the lighter as you did before just as you're breathing it out to get things moving as it's gonna be kicking in good from that hit. Take the next big inhale creating fresh vapour with the flame and try to clear the pipe. You probably won't be able to hold that in and empty the chamber of what couldn't fit into your lungs. With two big hits like that off a decent machine and you'll be off. The rest comes naturally so don't fight it, but it's very easy not to fight it IME.
The next place is incredible.
PS if you can keep going after those hits then decide whether you want to go further but decide quickly because you won't have much time at all to decide and to get the machine going again. Well I don't anyway, I know I could take a third big hit before I was totally incapable but I've not been ready to do that, I've broken through a few times now off two big hits like that and really enjoy where that takes me. My curiosity will soon over take me and I'll be taking the third big hit some time.
